not doing the DDP, so do you think that my 10 year old can order the kids menu meal? I hate to pay for an adult meal when there is no way she will eat the food offered in it and also the amount. Anyone out there who has had a "non" kid order the kids menu at Garden Grill. Really want to go there this year...

No, but my one and only experience with the Garden Grille was not good. If I HAD to go there again, I would BEG to order off the kids' menu - and I'm 43.;)

That being said - others love the place.:)

Kids between 3-9 pay the children's price. Your 10 yr. old is now "full freight". Service is an all you care to eat meal with the server bringing platters of food to your table. Service was very good with quick drink refills and more than enough food to satisfy even the most hearty appetite.:goodvibes

I certainly can sympathize with you. We had a very light eater with us who was 4 in October--He didn't eat enough to justify the children's price!

Be sure to ask for seating in the lower tier (much nicer than the top tier) and have a good time. I find that a late lunch saves us significant money in lieu of a dinner. The character interaction is among the best.

Happy planning...:wizard:

We were there in January. We were able to have our 11 year old get the child meal but we paid the adult price... Which he ate enough for an adult hahaha

You will have to pay the adult price, but my DD & DS ate of the kids menu--chicken strips and mac'n'cheese.

We have had the same experience as the previous posters with DD15 & DS11 in that we paid the adult price but both ordered from the kids menu. We also were not doing the DDP. In fact, once a server at WDW told us "that everyone is a kid at Disney so order from whatever menu you want." This seemed to make DD15 get over the embarrassment.:goodvibes

You can certainly order the plate of kids food there- just expect to pay the adult price. Personally, I think the adult food is just plain gross- it was so bland and rubbery. I wound up munching on a chicken finger just to eat something and I am not a girl who goes for that.
