We are trying to narrow down which character meals we would like to eat at and I know I want at least one meal with mickey. Which of these would be a better choice a PPO /late brunch at Garden Grill or a Brunch at Chefs Mickeys?

It's all opinions, but we love Garden Grill. We went for DD 1st birthday and all of her siblings (&grandparents) loved it. It is not quite as crowded. It is served family style (not buffet). And I just personally think the food is better.

We have never done Chef Mickey's and only done Garden Grill for dinner but we love it. The restaurant revolves which is a neat feature. Since everyone sits in a booth on the outside of the restaurant, your character interactions are just you and them. It is nice not having anyone else around or in the photos.

Garden Grill is less chaotic, quieter, a better character experience, and more edible.

Garden Grill.

From an efficiency standpoint, you can rope drop Epcot, then sit down for a meal and then hit your FP+ (Soarin for example). No need to leave the park.

Not to mention the food is better.

DH and I went to Garden Grill in February 2013, and we loved it. It was one of two character and buffets we did, the other being Crystal Palace for breakfast. I loved the GG's food, and I also really love the fact that the characters and the food come to YOU, so that you don't have to worry about missing them if you're up at the buffet. And Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale visited our table 2-3 times before we were finished. We're returning to WDW this February, and GG is our only repeat ADR.

Garden Grill. But we have done Chef Mickeys more often only because my kids love seeing the monorail come through the contemporary as much as visiting with Mickey and Friends. They never seem to get tired of that.

Add another vote for garden grill. I have done both and did not enjoy CM what so ever but Garden Grill was fantastic. Also the family style is a bit more enjoyable than the chaos of the buffet.

Garden Grill- hands down. Less crazy, less stressful, character interaction is top notch- and hands down better food!

You can Pre Park Open Garden Grill, which has benefits if you particularly want to get on Soarin. Since it is a fixed price meal, you can even ask for your bill before you get to the end of the meal.
The characters are a little different between the restaurants, so be sure you know who you are getting. We have a Chip and Dale kid in my family, so Garden Grill is a favorite but we haven't done breakfast there.

Don't forget about the other option.....Ohana' breakfast. We had a great time, food was great (Family Style), and all the characters come to your table and interact with pics and autographs!

Garden grill breakfast was awesome! And it's all you can eat they will bring you more out to your table if you request more. I've never done breakfast at chef mickeys (we did dinner) so comparing it to dinner the garden grill food just tastes better and was nice and hot. Character interactions at gg were awesome too. But no Donald at gg. My sons fav is Donald!

I'm voting GG breakfast whether it's PPO or later in the morning! We did it in Nov. and loved it; it was DS10's first request for our trip this Nov. We've had breakfast and dinner at CM years ago and were not impressed either time. The food at GG was delicious and hot and while we did have a slight hiccup with 2 characters that seems very rare, it was a great experience.

this is also on my list, always so glad to see great reviews :) I can't wait, another one I haven't been to in over a decade!

Well it looks like Garden Grill is a clear winner. We have two epcot days so fingers crossed I can get an ADR when my window opens up :yay:
