Garden Grill Questions...

What do you see during the restaurants rotation? Some pics I've seen look like you are seated between two walls and not much else. Can you see out over Epcot?

What was the character interaction like? At Chef Mickey's, Goofy grabbed my oldest son's plate and walked him over to the dessert area and poured M&M's all over it....totally the highlight of our trip. Any shenanigans like that going on?

You rotate over The Land ride. Rotates very slowly. You can not even tell you are moving. It is very quiet compared to other character meals which we enjoyed after a long day. Characters came around a few times and Chip and Dale stayed at our table for a very long time which my girls enjoyed.
It is not on our list for next year but wouldn't hesitate going back.

Just to be clear- You cannot see anything outside at all. As the PP stated, you get glimpses of the Land ride.

When you're not looking at the Land ride...what do you see? Just blank wall?

No, or at least we didn't. There was the resturant opening which overlooked the waiting area and then the Land. It moves so slowly that we didn't even move half of the way around. It is nice and different but I wouldn't consider the view the highlight, it was the characters.

GG was by far the best character interaction we have ever had at a character meal, and we've been to all but one. That being said, it just depends on what kind of "mood" they are in. For a lot of the meals we have been to, it has been quite rushed. My DD6 doesn't notice, she loves each and every character meal we have ever been to regardless! Pics and hugs are all she needs, so she was just over the moon when Chip and Dale took her with them all over the GG!! They are her favorites, so it was just perfect!

It is also one of the less hectic character meals and after a long day in the parks it's also nice that the food is brought to you, not buffet style like most character meals.

Leaving in 2 weeks and have ADRs at GG. Is it rotating right now? It seems from the posts I've read over the past few months, the rotation is sort of a hit and miss thing.

I was just there about a week or so ago and it was rotating. You'll see some scenes from The Land attraction - e.g. a scene with a buffalo. Great character interaction, one of the best. For example, Mickey grabbed my daughter's purse that holds her stuffed animals and opened it and took them out and played with them. She thought it was hilarious. Pluto pretended like he was going to eat her cupcake. Chip caused a commotion at our table and moved it when he sat down, this sparked one of the servers to come over and "yell" at Chip. Dale wrote a nice note in dd's character book about liking her "poppez". Saw each character twice. Such fun, we had a blast!

The views are of different parts of the Land Ride. The views are pretty neat especially if you like that ride. The character interactions are nice as well. It's usually Chip and Dale and they are always out there with the guests. We enjoyed it and had a good time. The food was pretty good too

Mickey overhead DH and I trying to get dd to eat. So he came over and pointed at her food and then to her. She wouldn't eat anything. Then he left. He came back shortly with a CM with dd's dessert, pointed to it, then pointed to her food, then pointed to her. DD got the point real quick and actually ate some of her food. Chip or Dale came over right after Mickey left and pretended to eat DD's food and Mickey ran over and caught him and scolded him. DD had the best time.
