Garden Grill or Tutto Italia? (My last possible ADR switch--I promise!)

Which would you choose based on food alone? We have other character meals scheduled, so that really isn't a factor. Which place did you enjoy the food better at?
The food sounds more appealing to me at Tutto, and I prefer to choose what I'm going to eat rather than having the pre-set menu. The higher ratings leave me thinking there's something good going on at GG. I don't want to go based on the character interaction, though, because as I said we have other character meals scheduled.

I just dropped WCC for Via Napoli. I kept Tutto, but am now questioning if I should change it for Garden Grill.

We have not eaten at Tutto, but we did eat at Garden Grill in early December. We did not have a good experience. The food was very bland. We knew ahead of time what the menu was and how it was served, and we were OK with that. But it was a real disappointment, and we will not go back. (The character interaction, on the other hand, was very good.)

Sorry you had such a bad experience. I have heard the character interaction is great, so it's the food I am worried about.

We have eaten at both and I would choose Garden Grill. Our family liked the food at Garden Grill. The food at Tutto is also very good and I will say that the service was great! I don't think that you can go wrong with either. I think it may come down to what type of food you are wishing to eat. The characters at Garden Grill do add to the experience.

One thing that may help with your decision is that the Garden Grill is one of the more difficult restaurants to get a reservation. If it is available you may want to take it as you can get a reservation at Tutto much easier in the future.

If you like Italian, I would recommend Tutto. The food there was pretty good IMO. We always do Garden Grill, but mostly for the character interaction. The food there is fine, but nothing to write home about. It is my husband's least favorite meal, as he would not normally choose the items offerered there.

the food is *much* better at Tutto Italia, IMO, although I do have a soft spot in my heart for the Garden Grill for the atmosphere and the characters.

We are making this same exact decision and decided that since we have other character meals planned, we will go with Tutto. Enjoy!

I think in general, both restaurants are very good. We tried GG for the first time on this past trip, and were very pleased with the meal. It was great for what it is -- American food, well made, with a very homey feel to the food and the atmosphere rounds out the whole experience.

We've eaten in Tutto Italia either three or four times now, and it's always a good meal. We've never had a bad experience, and seem to make an ADR here for almost every trip. It's solid Italian food (and we're from NY, the land of Italian food snobs), and we think it's certainly the best Italian restuarant in WDW.

I think either way you'll be happy with your choice. I would also take into account what style of food you think you'll be in the mood for based on your other meals scheduled for the trip -- will you want Italian food or more of a steak and potatoes type meal?

PS -- I would go for Tutto Italia over Via Napoli, if that's a choice as well, unless you're dead set on pizza. We didn't like the non-pizza offerrings at VN at all.
