Gap between Halloween and Christmas decorations

We are planning a trip for the fall and would like to go after the Halloween decorations are down and before the Christmas decorations go up. Haunted Mansion Holiday is a must, but we've done the last several times we've been its been during some decorated holiday. It would be nice to see DL with no decorations for a change. Anyone know when these two things happen?

Thanks
Jeff

I don't think there is much of a gap, to be honest. I was there toward the end of the Halloween season last year, and throughout my stay I watched Christmas stuff start appearing, especially the snow on the castle and the decoration in New Orleans Square. So based on my personal experience, there isn't a time between the two when there are no holiday decorations at all.

You have to go in February through May to miss out on, Summer, Halloween and Christmas completely.

Have to echo what others have said, the halloween decoration go down, as the Christmas decorations go up.

The Christmas parade is filming the weekend of Nov 2-4, so decor will go up quickly!

Doesn't the haunted mansion stay the same all the way through? Or do they make it more Christmas-y after Halloween?

We will be at the parks then. What do we need to know about either trying to view the parade or what to expect in terms of closures, areas being roped off, etc?

We went October 25-31 a few years ago and the ice was on the castle before Halloween. The decorations overlap, there is no gap.

It's really not a big deal. The run the parade and have some stages set up for announcer in the Hub in front of the Castle and on Main Street.

The parade filmings are both of a handful, not all, parade floats, and some dancers. They take shots of it moving and singers dancing. The may take many takes so if you stand there you can see it go over and over. They also pump up the people veiwing with a lot of background actors.

If you just stay off Main Street you wouldn't even know it's happening. The crowds are limited to around that area only.

Thanks. I would love to go in Jan or Feb for crowds, but my son is dying to try HMH. Looks like we need to pick either Christmas or Halloween to ensure the HMH is up and running. I'd like to avoid having the mix of decorations. We'll probably shoot for early Oct.
