We're going to POR in Feb...first onsite trip with ds10 and ds12. Assuming that pool games are the same across resorts, are they geared to this age or younger? Do you see many of the 10+ kids participating or is it really for the lil' ones?
Just trying to see if we should make some pool time (if weather permits) during the activity period.
I'm not sure if they do the poolside activities yearround or if it's just during the summer months. It would make sense for them to do the activities during busy times too(like presidents week, christmas week, easter week)but, not sure if they actually do. I would call Disney and double check if they will be doing it when your there or if it's just a summer thing, this way your kids will know ahead of time and not be disappointed.
As for your original question: we were there last June for DS 10th birthday, we stayed at All Star Sports and he participated in a few of the activities. There were kids of all ages but, mostly over the age of 5 or 6 all the way up and into teens (DD15 didn't participate she was either "working on her tan" or talking on the phone). Both kids really liked hanging out by the pool at night and watching the Disney movies on the big screen. If it's raining out then they hold the activities in the food court.
