BTW I started reading your travel log from your trip in Dec. that's in your signature. That's the kind of story that makes me glad I am driving! I'm on my way home. It's a long drive but, so relaxed. No stress of catching a plane. No airports. No strip searches.

Wow I thought driving from NH was long. How long does it take you?

Can you believe dhorner drives sooooooo far? I'm not that brave nor my body ABLE to do that! We'd have to drive around 17 hours to get to DW...couldn't do it! When DD's were in high school I'd "unofficially" chaperone the trips but fly and meet them there. NO WAY was this Band Mom going to ride a chartered bus with a bunch of teenagers! I'd do "my duty" when they arrived at DW!

Yep! It woke us up! Here we are having breakfast. I thought of YOU while I took this picture!:

I'm in Iowa this morning. I'll be in SD this evening. It's such a beautiful country. I've done this trip at least once a year every year for 15 years now and hope to do it as long as I can. I've been to Marceline, MO (Walt's home town), Hannibal, MO (Mark Twain's home town), up Mich to the UP, Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore. All by myself. I was an only child and realized a long, long time ago, if I didn't go by myself (or in the rain) I'd never go.

I'll be half way today - from VA to WA. I went from WA to PA (to see my daughter) then to VA to pick up my DCuz. Then we went to DW. Then back to VA. Then VA to Indiana. Indiana to Iowa. Today is Iowa to SD. Then SD to Montana. Then HOME!!!

Since I'm sitting here~trying not to be a "cry baby" ~ DGD's and their Dad/Mom just left for the airport ~ they'll be sleeping tonight at AKL while I have to stay at HOME ... decided to find another for ya'll to solve:

Yes, this is in a STORE. But it's not in a Park, nor is it in a resort.

Thank you for taking the time to read it! My mom doesn't fly, so we always drove. I only started flying when DW and I started going as our own little group. I've driven straight through once, but every other time we took 2 days to drive, stopping over somewhere in the Carolinas. My parents now take the auto train. We tried joining my family on the autotrain for DD's first trip (7 months old)... It did not work well. We ended up upgrading to an actual "room" on the train for the ride back. That was an improvement, but still not great.

I might try a train...if one were available from Houston to Orlando but I'm always to anxious to get to DW. The 2 hour flight is about all I can take before the fun begins! dhorner told me to check out your report and plan on doing that, hopefully this evening. Sorry but my photo is not from Ellen's Energy Adventure.

As for yours.....only 100's of shops to pick from ; I'll start with trying to get a location...maybe Downtown Disney?

I LOVE flying ...don't get much of an opportunity to do that so I really look forward to it. We did have a short flight this summer down to South Padre Island. Flight was only an hour but I loved "following the coastline" to South Texas! As for my photo...technically no.

These photos have nothing to do with our game but I wanted my friends here to see what I've prepared for Christmas...gives you time to do the same thing. There was a picture posted on Disboards last year (Show me your Christmas decorations) and I thought..."I can do that". My Christmas Mickey wreath:

So easy...1 large wreath; 2 small wreaths; mount on a metal "T" and add lights. The hardest part of the whole project was getting DH to make the "T"!

You may remember over Labor Day weekend our area was "on fire". I finally downloaded my pictures from that time period. This one was taken off of Facebook where it was posted by one of my friends. This is the "Bastrop fire" (close to Austin).

This is the one that "freaked" me out as it was a lot closer to us...and moving in our direction. The "Tri-County fire" was to the north of Houston. I took this at the Friday night football game. The smoke on the horizon lasted for days and helped create a beautiful sunset.

Now...back to our game!

Love Love Love the wreath! I will have to make one. Most of my Christmas decorations and ornaments are Disney. I even have a monorail going around the tree.
