I just got a Game On pin today and not sure it is really much of a deal. I priced out a trip for June 20-26 with MYW tickets, no ph or water parks just to check prices over the past few weeks. then today I got the pin via snail mail. It says it is for a package that includes park hoppers and water park and more tickets. So I put in the code on the website for POR using same dates and was quoted the same price I have been getting, except it automatically gives me PH and waterpark option and "royal room" at POR, which I assume is one of the recently renovated rooms. I have tried to price it again without the pin to see what kind of savings this is, but the website is recognizing my computer and so keeps giving me the pin option. I think it is only about a $400 savings (my mailing states 14%), which is not really a savings since I wasn't looking at waterpark or hoppers at the moment.
Anyone else receive this offer? Wondering what you think of it? I will try calling tomorrow. If we get FD we would jump at it, but sadly this isn't enough for a trip we are only thinking about.

Maybe we should consider braving the heat of August for FD!

For me it would be a savings of $400.00 over the $130.00 (at POR garden view) I saved with 10% off pin. We want the water parks and more. My boys love water parks and they are boys so the arcade is a must. The hopper would be nice just to have, we try not to hop because of the time it takes from getting to one park to the other, this year we will be traveling with an infant so I have a feeling taking breaks at the resort will be a must so hopping might just be a luxury we would like to have.

This type of discount, (an upgrade) doesn't equal less money, it gives you more for SAME amount of money.

The value of the free upgrade is exactly the cost of the Hopper and Water Park & More option, times, (X) the number of tickets you are purchasing.

It's not a savings unless you were planning on purchasing those options anyway. However, if no other discount is available during your dates of travel, at least it's something for free. :yay:

If it is just an offer for a free upgrade on park tickets, you can check the value by just going to the ticket page and pricing tickets with and without the the extras. It should be just over a hundred dollars per person.

I received the same code about a month ago for dates in May, and I was planning August, before school started here in CT. I waited to see when FD was going to start and it's a week too late for me, so I went back in with the PIN and tried Aug 17 to 24th as my dates. I DID give me the add on's for no charge. :cool1: We are now booked for those dates at POR in a Prefered Room (requested Bldg 27) w/o the dining plan. Since it will be hot, and the 3 kids have never been to the water parks or Disneyquest, we figured it would be fun to do something different, and it basically gives us 6 visits (3 WP&M and 3 Park Days) for our 7 day trip. Since there are 5 of us, it saves us over $500.00, and at least we get something out of this one. Our intention from here is to save us some extra $$$ and purchase a Disney Gift Card or 2 at the Disney Store before leaving so we have our dining money set aside. When we pay OOP for food, we end up spending about 2/3 of what we would have on the DDP or DQSP, so it's all good here.

Thanks for all your thoughts. We like PH passes since we do like to take midday breaks and then have the option of another park at night. We have previously visited one water park and I know we would love them. with 2 girls, 11 & 13 I bet they would enjoy Dis Quest, so it is a useful offer, but we were really thinking of waiting until next year to save more and then do a bigger trip to include our 1st to Universal.
Still, I was really hoping for a deal "to good to pass up" that would sway us to go this year! FD would have been great. I called today hoping for that magic FD pin attached to my name, but no such luck. Can't hurt to try! At least I got this one, just not sure we will do it. Perhaps if we skip the DDP and share some meals.........
