Game of Thrones Season 7....(WARNING SPOILERS)

Then needs to take some lessons from Varys and Grey Worm on bucking up and getting on with life. His snivelling is getting tiresome. :sad2:

I thought he was getting better, but you could see during the scene where the one guy was being tortured that he just kind of flipped out right there. I think he's got some severe PTSD.

Umm, both Varys and Grey Worm were castrayed as children. The on was tortured for months and mutilated (had his entire you know what cut off if memory serves. Not just made into a eunuch). His response is very appropriate

And that all happened fairly recently.

 Boo hoo - John Snow was dead and he sucked it up. ( ;) I think one needs to suspend credulity a little to really enjoy fantasy genre. The characters are seldom written to be exactly like real people in our real world.)

To be fair, I don't think Theon was much of a man before his life went to poop. Particularly not compared to Jon Snow. He always seamed weasely. His reaction was very much character, IMHO of course.

I agree. After this many episodes, I have no idea why anyone would think that any character would miraculously become a hero and save the day. :rotfl:

I'm not sure what people expected Theon to do, run at Euron and no doubt get himself or his sister killed? Euron would have loved that. No doubt fear made him run, but maybe it was also common sense. I hope he follows them to King's Landing and surprises us all. (I can't believe I just defended Theon!)

I think perhaps Theon jumped because he was scared. Or he didn't want to face Euron who would probably kill Yara anyway. Euron is a psycho!
Is Euron taking Yara and the Dorne lady (her name escapes me) to Cersi?
It seems like this show is centered on karma. That dorne lady killed Cersi's innocent daughter and others. While those sand serpents had killed their cousin (?). Not sure if Yara did anything bad, but maybe she will live?

She is much more sure of herself now and less meek which sometimes comes off as "witchy"(at least it is to me).

I love her advisors though. Those women have a LOT of hate toward Cersi!

I was laughing so hard when Theon jumped. It was so... I don't know... comically dramatic. He was just like, "Nope."

I loved the scene with Jon and Littlefinger. Jon sees right through him.

I don't want the show to end, but I want to SEE the end. Who will win??? Will they go with a fan favorite like Jon, Dany, or Arya??? Or will it an underdog like Sansa? Or maybe they'll just piss everyone right off and let Cersi kill everyone and keep the throne.:rotfl::confused3

The Jon scene had me cheering.

I want to see this too!

IMO Theon has never felt he belonged anywhere. He was treated quite well by Ned and the Starks, yet he understood why he was there, kept away from his family. He knew all the legend and lore of being an Ironborn, but never had the chance to be a part of it. What he did to gain Winterfell was his bid to declare himself Ironborn through and through, and of course he failed spectacularly.

IMO Theon now remains the thorn in Euron's side. His first act as king was to immediately desire the murder of his niece and nephew, only to find out they had incredibly outmaneuvered him. His pride, and his fear of holding onto his crown, requires their deaths. Theon's cowardly act ironically was the one thing he could have done to infuriate Euron beyond everything else. (Making the assumption of course that there was no way Theon was going to defeat Euron on the spot.)

MTE, Yara would have died in front of him if he fought Euron then.

Makes you wonder, what would it take for Theon to be able to engage in combat again?

Theon was actually trained and capable. He trained alongside Robb and Jon in the keep at Winterfell. Sansa has forgiven him, and no doubt given Jon a full explanation of Theon's remorse and sacrifice to help her escape Ramsey. Jon feels every living soul will be necessary to defeat the WW. Would the opportunity to stand and fight alongside Jon again help Theon begin to regain more of himself and leave Reek behind? Will that be enough if he's able to face Euron again?

I think the Dorne lady was killed. At the end, one of them was hanging of the end of the ship and the other dead body (the one who killed Cercei's daughter) was placed on that thing the other one was hanging from. She's dead.

Ellaria and her surviving daughter are no doubt going to be proffered to Cersei on a silver platter. I fear the Mountain will be invited to join them for dinner.

I figure Yara is either killed or remains Euron's prisoner to draw in Theon. Either way I think a showdown with Euron is Theon's eventual endgame.
