It is now 49 Obama, 47 McCain of Likely Voters. This puts it within the margin of error.

The Gallup poll showing a two point difference is flawed by Gallup's admission and they aren't even using it anymore. At this point I don't know what to believe with the polls and the only thing I do know is it is very important to actually get out and VOTE!

I'm not sure which side focusing on that flawed Gallup poll really helps. It just would make the next day's rebound by Obama seem all the more significant.

Uh, that's not a poll, in bold. That's the average of all of the major polls.

And actually all of the major polls have Obama in the lead. Even McCain/Palin acknowledges that. The only issue here is whether there is a trend in the numbers and if so in which direction. With regard to that, all of the polls still show Obama pulling out in front. Only one of the polls (and that being one of two polls from the same pollster, and the weaker of the two polls from that pollster according to that polster) show that trend declining. That was what was meant, earlier, by "cherry picking" of polls.

Perhaps you're watching Faux News or something and getting misinformation but most of the Obama supporters I know are not acting like they have it in the bag at all. In fact most are nervous because you can never tell what will happen or who will cheat etc etc. Look at Gore and Kerry. They were both doing great and then lost. And as for Obama, he just released a statement like 2 days ago telling his supporters not to get cocky, so I don't think he feeling like it's in the bag either.

No, if I was cherry picking a poll for Obama, I would have chosen the one that has him up 14 points (which I think is too high btw). The RCP is an average.

At this point, national popular vote polls mean very little. As we still use the Electoral College, it is the state polls and early voting that have the most significance. It is all about Electoral votes so Montana being a solid red state isn't nearly as important as Pennsylvania being a blue one.

The most important thing is for everyone to actually get out and VOTE no matter your party and then we will all see what happens on Nov 4.
