Galaxy's Edge Reservation Swap Disneyland

Good afternoon...
I am posting to see if it is possible there is anyone out there willing to swap a Galaxy's Edge Reservation with our family. I called...emailed...and there is NOTHING Disney can do to help however she mentioned she can change names on a reservation...so that is why I am inquiring about a swap.

We are traveling to California to celebrate our daughter's graduation and one of the big reasons we were making sure to include Disneyland is to be able to visit Galaxy's Edge since she and my husband are big Star Wars fans and its something special they share together.

I made sure to login and wait patiently for a reservation. Frontier had changed our flight dates and times after we booked originally, and I got it all confused in my mind...wanting to book Galaxy on the day we leave...not realizing we leave a day earlier. So now we wont even be in California on the day of our reservation which makes me so upset.

Currently our reservation is for four people on Monday June 10 from 2-6pm. I have our confirmation number and code and now I am seeing if there is anyone out there who would be willing to switch reservations with us???? We will be in Disneyland between June 4-9. Can anyone help?

I believe I read something on the SWGE thread that if the lead guest's name on the confirmation doesn't match the ID, they are not going to allow you access to the land. The lead guest cannot be changed.

From everything I've read the only successful name changes were via hotel reservations (other than them adding a person for those who glitched and only got one on their reservation). I checked and there still is hotel availability for the June 8-9th. You could drop a night off your current reservations and pick up one night at Paradise Pier and get a reservation that way.

Are you staying on site? If so, Disney should be able to help you. Other posters have reported that they have been able to change the SWGE reservations they got with their on site hotel reservations.
If you are not staying on site and your SWGE reservation is a free one that you got on May 2nd, then based on the experience of people posting here so far, Disney has been saying consistently that no changes can be made. (Only changes are being allowed for people who got caught in the registration glitch -- they can add one person only.) The CM who told you that names can be changed is not in agreement with what other CMs have been saying to people here. I would not make a move on something this important based on the word of this one CM without getting written confirmation from her manager or supervisor first.
Since you admit that this mix up was due to your error and not Disney's, I'm not sure if there is anything that can be done right now. Disney has been very clear about there being no changes in names on these free reservations, and it is too risky to ask someone else to put their reservation in jeopardy by making what could be an invalid switch.
Please try to get written confirmation that what you are trying do is allowed. Otherwise you are asking a stranger to put their SWGE dream at risk -- then neither group may get in. I hope you understand -- in the best case scenario, both groups get in to SWGE. But in the worst case scenario, both groups might get turned away for having invalid reservations.

If you are staying off site: There is one way to get a guaranteed reservation during your dates and that is to make an on site reservation, even for one night -- you will get a guaranteed entry reservation for SWGE for your family that way.
The other option is to change your return flight: either by changing the date or the airline.
I realize that either option is going to cost more than you were expecting to pay, but those are, at least, guaranteed ways to get a/keep your SWGE reservation.
