Gain before loss

Anyone else experience this? Everytime I try to lose weight it seems like I put on 3-5 lbs during the first week or 2 before I lose. I haven't changed my eating at all, but I'm getting up at 4AM (it is a real time, I used to think it was only a rumor) and doing Turbo Jam for 40 mins + I've added 4 miles of walking to my day. Sure enough, 3 days into it and I'm up 3 lbs. Holy frustration!! I have to remember that it is always this way for me. I think it's my body's way of saying "screw you" for making it get out of bed early & doing some work.
 
That's great about the exercise, but are you dieting too? I found when I "only" exercised I ate more, so gained weight sometimes. I also didn't drink enough water to keep up with the exercising, (need to up your intake when you exercise more) so your body may be hanging on to more water. Of course, you are probably building some muscle too.

Good for you for the hard work though! I too have heard of this strange 4am, and yet you say it's.......real? :rotfl2:
