when the dates will be extended.

DW and I love flying Southwest and have on our last two trips to DW from Manchester, NH. Last year we went in Sept. and got in on the Freinds Fly Free ($224 FOR BOTH). This year we are going 12/12/ - 12/16 and as you know dates are only thru 12/13.

Do you have any guesses as when the dates will be extended. I don't want to miss out.

I too am very impatiently waiting for SW to extend their dates. We are planning on going 12/18-12/23 and I have DH ready to s**t or get off the pot once they come out. Promised not to commit to anything moneywise until then. I told him we have to be ready to book when dates are extended.

I do have to admit though that I like the flight times better on Delta for our trip(right now it's $308.50pp) so I'm hoping they come down close enough to SW so I can use them instead. Need all the time I can get to spend in the "world" seeing how we don't have much time.

I did call the beginning of the week and ask when they thought the next round of dates would come out and the lady said that they had just released new dates a few weeks ago and it would probably be a few more before they extend again. But I'll probably try again to call in a few days and see if someone else knows differently.

I also check Delta every other day too because I read on the boards that they lower their prices just proir to SW releasing more dates.

we are 12/12-12/20. I called SW the day the fares were extended through 12/13 and she not to expect them to open up again before mid-late August. I did purchase our trip down when they had the Tues. sale and got that for only $79.00 each! Now I just have to wait for them to open up the way home and for it to go on sale again. I would suggest that if they have a sale again your purchase your trip down as those low fares get sold out (for the person buying the 12/12 fares) Since Southwest prices in one way fares you do not have to buy both legs at the same time.

No, actually they do not. The Sept. flights are similar to SWA, but the Dec. one (to where SWA stops) are not. In fact, their NS is a bit higher than their one stop ones.
And, Song will be starting at BDL on 9/17 and I have no idea what that will do to Delta's flight times.

Delta used to be my carrier of choice, but, since they started this switching and cancelling I tried SWA instead and I am VERY happy with them. The two hour depart difference is just fine with me, cause I know I am going to be on that flight. I also like their cancellation/change policy. Never a charge other than if the airfare is higher. In that case, you pay the difference. Don't get me wrong, I still like Delta a great deal and would use them for any place SWA does not go, but I like the fact that I can totally depend on SWA.

I did try that but the one way fare is $141. When i do a RT for 12/12/-12/13 the fare is $89 each way. Figure i'll wait an get them right away as I'm watching everyday.
