Day 1 : Part 2
So after we check-in we make phone calls about our free upgrade and rub it in as best we can because we're so excited. We took pictures on our cell phones and sent it to our family and friends. They were all so excited for us.
After that we decide to hit the parks. We decided on Magic Kingdom and get a bite to eat for lunch. So we ride the monorail and we noticed the parking lot was
PACKED so we knew that wasn't a good sign. We get our tickets and get in the parks. It was insane. Main street was so packed you couldn't move, the typical wait for the rides were 90-120 minute wait, and all the resturaunts and cafes were booked and packed. The lines for the cafes were out the doors.
So we decided to go to Hollywood Studios which wasn't as packed but still pretty busy. We ate at a cafe and went on Star Tours and walked around. We wanted to hit up Rockin' Rollercoaster and the Tower of Terror but the wait was 90 minutes for both.
We were expecting company that night. Jimmy (Ian's cousin), Aunt Kathy (Ian's aunt who will perform the ceremony), Robyn (Ian's Sister), Dave (Ian's BIL aka Robyn's DH), and Caden (our nephew). So we headed back to the Contemporary and they met us there. We all decided we wanted dinner and went to T-Rex. The wait was only an hour but we stayed in the shop. It was really neat! Just like Rain Forrest Cafe but dinos instead. I got the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich with waffle fries. Yummy! Sorry, no food porn. I didn't even think about it.
Caden, the nephew, at 1 month old. He's a cute little booger.
T-Rex! It was awesome with amazing food!
By the time we were done eating it was about 10:30PM and decided it would be best if we headed back to the Contemporary and get some rest. We knew it would be a long day the next day.
Up next... how did the planning session go?
