GAD vouchers and EMH

We will be using our Give a day Get a Day vouchers towards the end of our trip. We will be staying on Disney property. Are we eligible that night to use EMH or will we have to leave when the park closes to the general public? Thanks!

If you are staying at a Disney resort, you are eligible for EMH. It doesn't matter what kind of ticket you have, except that you must have a hopper if you plan to go to one park during the day and to another park for EMH.

For evening EMH, you will be asked to show your room key before riding any rides.

Are you only planning the one park day, or are you getting a ticket for the other days? If the latter, depending on the length of your main ticket you may be better off adding a day to that for $5 (as of August 5th, the incremental cost for days 5-10 is now $5). Then you can use the GAD voucher for something else like the FP Exchange Card (although no guarantee you can use that during EMH) or the souvenir ear figurine.

EMH is an on-site guest feature, although you still need to have paid admission. Doesn't matter the source of the ticket, as long as you have your KTTW card (your room key) to get in to the park (if entering after EMH starts) and to get on attractions.

Thanks for the replies. We will be doing the other parks with a 4 day park hopper from the military promotion. I don't think we can add days to this but I would love too for the $5. The GADGAD will only be used at the Magic Kingdom on a Sunday - no other parks. Thanks again!

Ah...the current military salute tickets do have a 4-day limit and using the GAD ticket makes sense.
