I haven't been able to find the answer to this, and I'm hoping someone can help me out.

My plan is to upgrade our GAD tickets to AP once we get there. It is my understanding that I can book a room at the AP discount as long as I present my AP at check-in (or that first day). Would I also be able to book the DDP with this room only AP discount reservation without actually having the AP at the time of making the reservation? Does this sound like something I will be able to do? Thanks! :)

Have they announced AP rates for your dates? Are you buying the AP for the discount?

AP Question too - I do have a room booked with the AP discount. We want to upgrade our GADs to purchase the AP's - where do I do this? We are going to MK the first day? Will I have to pay to park? What is the credit amount of the GAD towards the AP?

Yes, you can book the passholder + dine package without actually having an AP yet. As long as the resort and room category you are booking has an AP rate available, you can create a package w/ the discounted room and whichever DDP you choose. :goodvibes

I'll take a stab at a few of your ??

From the ticket sticky...
Bring the completed Certificate of Service to a "will-call" window at one of the Theme Parks to get issued a one-day, one-park pass valid for that day's entry. There are block-out dates of March 29 - April 8 and July 4, 2010. The tickets are valid only at the Theme Parks during normal operating hours. They are not valid at the water parks, Disney Quest, WWS, mini-golf, or any hard ticket event such as MNSSHP or MVMCP.

You must bring a valid photo ID along with your voucher. Valid ID is one of the following: valid Government Issued Passport, valid Driver's License including a photo, or valid Government Issued Photo ID. For children under 18 who do not have any of the previous listed IDs, a certified copy of a Birth Certificate is acceptable. School IDs or children security IDs are not deemed government-issued photo IDs and will not be accepted. Please note: the Guest whose name is on the voucher must be present at the time of ticket redemption (for example, parents cannot redeem tickets for their children in their absence.)

Will I have to pay to park?

If you don't have your AP in hand, you'll have to pay to park, However I believe you can save the receipt and be reimbursed at Guest Relations.

What is the credit amount of the GAD towards the AP?

Whatever the current gate price is of a one day base admission on the day you exchange your voucher - current before tax price is $79 for adults, $68 for kids 3-9.

Yes. It would be 5/26-6-4. Yes, buying tickets partially for the discount, but also have another trip planned in March 2011. So ticket costs alone, it makes sense. We planned to get AP regardless of a room discount.

Thank you. This was the answer I was hoping for. Now to check availability.

Can you use a GAD to qualify for DDP

In other words, if I understand it correctly, in order to add DDP to a reservation, each of us would need to buy one ticket from disney. (even if we already had no-expiration tickets from before)

So, can GAD qualify as that ticket?

TIA
