I do not think are trip would have been as nearly as enjoyable as it has been. Today Holllywood Studios was swamped due to SWW. Which we knew it would be. But the GAD passes saved the day! We got to ride Toy Story Mania 3 times! Once with regular fast passes and twice with the GAD! I don't even think we used all our options at Epcot Fri. The standby lines were awful. We would have been miserable. I hope they do it again!

:thumbsup2 Used mine today at MK-very crowded! (until it poured) Did everything we wanted to. Heading for DHS tomorrow....luv the GAD fastpass!!

Me too! We plan to use them next Sunday at HS for SWW...that may be the only way we get to ride TSM!

We used ours in April: there were only 2 of us (myself and my daughter) We were on our way to Magic Kingdom to use them, and met up with a single mom there with her 3 kids: we took them with us to Guest Relations, and got the six passes (2 for us, 4 for them). The mom was so happy, she was literally crying.

Hopefully that was a pretty good lesson in giving for my 5 year old.

Not only was it a wonderful lesson for your daughter, but also for the family you shared them with. When they remember their day at MK, they will be able to remember the extra magic shared with them.

:flower3: to you for sharing :wizard:

I could not agree more!! We were there last week (May 29-June 6) and had the GADFP at MK twice, EPCOT (FW) and DHS...we never waited more than 5-10 minutes for any ride!!!:cool1:
I kept telling my wife that I don't know how we can come back without the GADFP because of how spoiled I was by using them.:lmao:

We had 7 vouchers and used them as follows

Sun May 30 MK
Mon May 31 AK
Tue June 1 DHS
Wed June 2 Epcot (at 2PM)
Thur June 3 MK (at 1PM)
Sat June 5 DHS (SWW Weekend)
Monday June 7 DHS (Vote for last, everyone wanted another ride on TSM and RnR.)

They allowed to avoid RD and ride the headliners multiple times without ever waiting. Combined with regular FP, we never waited for a single ride during our 10 days stay.

The longest wait was when the FP line at TSM got backed up and we were out the door. Still in less than 10 minutes we were on the ride.

We used ours

Epcot May 26th arrived at noon. (really didn't need them...but allowed us to do Soarin and TT twice when combined with our regular fp.)

Magic Kingdom May 27th -- only in the MK for 3 hours. Used passes to do: Peter, Philharmagic (just waited for this), Splash, Big Thunder 2x, Buzz. could have done buzz twice more but a litte emergency from one member of our party prevented it.

Epcot May 28th -- arrived after 4. Used fastpass to do Soarin twice and Test Track after dinner at Garden Grill. Even with Fastpass, Soarin' still takes a long time.

Hollywood Studios May 29th -- SWW. Arrived WELL before rope drop. Had others traveling with us that didn't have GAD and used some of our Fastpasses for them. Honestly the line for Fastpass was so long I decided not to use our regular fastpasses at TSM. Rode TSM 3x, Star Tours 3x, RnR..plus did star wars parade and character greetings. GAD made SWW and a few rides a possibility.

Magic Kingdom May 30th -- redeemed late and did not make good use of them. Did BTM 2x and Buzz once. Gave them away to someone as we were leaving the park..not sure they could use them as EMH were about to start-- kids were too tired.

I really thought that HS was the biggest bang. MK was good since my kids love the mountains. And although we didn't use them to full advantage...we loved the extra attractions the FP gave us!

What is a GAD fast pass?

Disney had a promotion this year where you would receive a voucher for a free ticket if you completed a participating volunteer activity. For someone who already has a multi-day ticket or an AP, the voucher could be redeemed for fastpass cards for their group.

Thanks for the info. Too bad the program is over, I would love fastpasses! I wish Disney had some sort of front of the line incentive like Universal does when you stay there.

I can't wait to use mine either...from the reports it sounds like they are great!

so I'm a little bit confused about the GAD fast passes.

My understanding is that you get 3 donald and 3 daisy fastpasses. Does that mean you get unlimited rides on those attractions with the fast passes?

Or does it mean I use one for Space Mtn, one for Splash, and one for i BTMRR and then that's it? :confused3

Just trying to figure out if it's worth it to exchange for fast passes when the value of the ticket is $70+?

If you redeem your GAD voucher for the FP option, each person in your group with a valid ticket (technically up to six people, but some have gotten more if they had a bigger group) will get a FP card with 6 credits on it. Each card has three Donald and three Daisy credits. You do not get unlimited rides, but the FPs are good immediately, and you can use the FPs however you want (all three Donald credits on Toy Story Mania or Soarin' if you want).

Determining the "value" would depend on your group. If you have six people in your group who want to ride TSM multiple times and you are travelling during peak season, the GAD FPs are very valuable. If you are travelling by yourself at a slower time and don't care to ride Soarin' or Test Track, the value would be much less for you.

We had a similar experience, I counted up over 6 1/2 hours we would have had to stand in line to ride TSMX3 and Star Tours 3 times during SWW. We ended up giving away a set of ST FP's b/c we couldn't use them again, during SWW when there is a 30-40 min line thats a pretty good perk. We loved the GAD FP's and will definately participate in any promo that has the FP cards again in the future.
