GAC question...

I know there are lots of threads on this, and I've read the super thread and understand they aren't front of the line passes, and I'm not looking for that, just need some practical advice...

I recently (last week) had a nerve tumor removed from my leg just under my knee. We are going to Disneyland this weekend for my DDs birthday. While the incision and stitches are mostly healed, I have residual nerve pain that gets really bad when I stand too long or if it gets bumped at the site... Doctor said I'm good for minimal activity- so, for those of you who have needed and utilized GAC, is this something that will help me in 2 days of touring? We may rent a wheelchair to assist me when needed, and if so, how do I go about getting one? I don't want to take advantage of this system, as I know it's a blessing to those who truly need it.

Any advice? I dont want my problems to keep my dd from enjoying her bday at DL! Thank you!!!

I would post this on the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies thread or the DISabilities thread. You will get a more concise answer there. It sounds to me like you should definitely get a GAC pass. GAC passes are made for people with permanent disabilities or temporary ones like your so you can enjoy your trip to the fullest. There are signs at the entrance of the park that direct you towards guest services and they have friendly and helpful people there that can set you with everything you will need ot make your Disney experience enjoyable. So don't you feel bad about it. I hope you heal up soon and are 100% in no time. And I hope you enjoy your trip !!
