HI all,
My DD is 6 and has a chromosomal disorder (Ring 13). She looks pretty much "normal" but is verbally and cognitively impaired. She has some autistic characteristics but is not on the spectrum at this time. Her issues are perseveration, hypersensitive hearing (at times, can't predict when), and problems waiting in line at times. Would a GAC be appropriate for her? We did WDW when she was 4 without it, but there were times I wished we'd had one. She'll be 7 on our next trip.

Thanks everyone!

If you haven't already looked, you may find the section about GACs (Guest Assistance Cards) in the disABILITIES FAQs thread helpful.

The thing to do is think about what her needs are and what might help her to deal with her needs; that's what you need to be able to explain to the CMs at Guest Relations so they can help you.
