Gabby Petito

I really started getting interested in this case when I saw the police video of their stop in Moab. Gabby was extremely upset whereas Brian was smiling and joking with the officers. Just reminded me of my life with my exH. If any of you met him, you'd think he was charming and a great guy and wondering what was wrong with me. Behind closed doors is another thing. When angered with me, he could grab me hard or hit the kids in a rage. I could just see my ex laughing and joking with the officers and it just triggered me.

I totally agree with you. As soon as I saw that video, I felt sure that Brian killed her. To me there were soooooo many obvious signs.

I have never had any personal experience with domestic abuse, but a few people I know have. I am sorry that you went through what you described above. Blessings to you.

imho..
I don’t like that the autopsy took so long… strangulation cases are rather clear (in most cases with bone documentation). They needed Additional experts consulted… how many Didnt concur?
Wheres Dr Baden 🤔 when we need him?
I don’t like that they awaited toxicology that took… way too long…
I don’t like that they STILL haven’t charged him with ANYthing related to her passing ( RIP) based on what they have as evidence. 🤔
And I think… they have a LONG HARD road ahead to get a conviction, IF they ever charge him in this case.
they’d have to be keeping a myriad of information under wraps to push this forward..but not convinced they have it.
mans finally, Someone is Helping him and has been since the very beginning of this Entire Tragedy..
Innocent until Proven Guilty…
We Shall See. So sad :(

FWIW, here is a screenshot of the Coroner's report -- in its entirety. Under Wyoming law, the coroner is only allowed to publicly release two determinations: Cause of Death, and Manner of Death.

The full video of the press conference is posted on Page 76 of this thread. During the press conference, Dr. Blue was asked many questions, but only gave up a few scraps of additional information. The ones I remember are as follows:
  • Gabby was not pregnant at the time of her death
  • The body was found 3-4 weeks after her death, which would put her date of death between August 22-29, 2021. They were unable to pinpoint the date any closer.
  • As parts of the autopsy, a full-body CT Scan was conducted, DNA samples were taken, and toxicology studies were done. None of those results were, or will be, released to the public under Wyoming law.
  • Other participants in the autopsy included a forensic pathologist, a forensic anthropologist, and I believe at one point he said a forensic entomologist. Again no release will be made of any of their impressions/findings, and those forensic specialists were not named.

Do you mean entomologist? An etymologist studies the origin of words.

It’s only because I’m on epidemiologist and, pre-COVID, I often got “oh, do you study bugs”. So I learned to correct people that, no, that’s an entomologist. It was either that or people thought I was a “skin doctor”.
You must be in high demand at the moment! Quizzed at supper parties, I imagine.

Well, if I were having supper parties :)

But yes, getting a lot of questions. I'm not in infectious disease epi, but a lot of things overlap and/or I can at least understand what the infectious disease epi people are saying better than most non-epi people.

The spelling issue reminded me of this video which I loved:

Sorry - now back to the proper topic of the thread.

Either read on CNN or Drudge this morning that they just recently found a campsite close to where his parents think he was located in park. Sadly went back to look for article and could not find it.

Why do they keep going back to that reserve? They have to think he's there right?

There was a report a week or so ago to that effect, but the North Port police issued a statement saying nothing had been found.
