I have a resale pending ROFR. The down payment for escrow was put on my Disney card. Reading the fine print, I don't see anything that says it has to be direct through Disney. Does anyone know?

I'm waiting for someone to respond to this as I'm in a similar boat. I already paid but am not in the system yet (probably next week). Passed around 5/15. Downpayment was with the Disney Visa.

I've already contacted Disney Visa. They gave me a seperate number to call for better information. Left a message and will hopefully hear back soon. It would be REALLY nice if they let me qualify for this.

Here's the deal....spoke to the person in charge of the promotion (Angel Prusinowski). People who bought through resale are NOT eligible for the promotion. It was worth a shot. Very nice lady to speak to though.

Just talked to my guide. I'll be getting the promo 500 reward dollars!

I was worried because our card was charged in late May with our initial down payment. However, due to changing the use year, our paperwork got changed so the official closing docs read as a June transaction. Not sure if that got us within the window or not.

He said I was on his list of people to call today. I wonder how far back they're going?

We got our points!!! I was concerned because we signed our contracts 5/22 but we haven't closed yet. We just got the call this morning, they have approved rewards points for those who call before closing and ask about the promotion.

I called our guide too about the $500 incentive. He said that when we purchased we got this year's points that we can bank into next year since Kidani isn't open yet plus the developer points, but people purchasing now are only getting the developer points and won't get their first set of actual points yet. It depends which promotion you got as to whether you are eligible for the $500 for the Visa promotion. If you got the 2 year's points plus developer or not.

Hmmm, I better make sure my deal is the same. They're waiting on my new Disney Visa card to come in so I can put the down payment down on it for the rewards incentive. I was suppose to have 08 points to bank until 09 plus developer points. That includes $8 off per point and the 500 Disney Rewards (using towards Turkey Day cruise!).

We just bought AKV on 6/16/08 and we got matching developer points, this years points to bank to next year, $8 off per point which they add to your down payment, and the $500 disney rewards.

You have to buy direct through Disney so no resale through Timeshare Store, etc. It's 160 minimum point purchase but I don't think it restricts it to buying just AKV.

As far as I know it's any resort, but there is a 160 point minimum purchase for the $500.

Did you use you Disney Visa Card for your down payment/purchase? If so I would definately question your guide on this. I took the following directly from the Disney rewards website and it does not mention anything about this being available to specific resorts only.
