The Wonder had 2 days off recently too - except that they went to Castaway Cay and helped with the clean up. For the Magic, they'll probably still work hard for those couple of days. Vacation time would be nice for them though.
Marcy, what a hoot. I can understand the longing however. We've had an extremely busy week at the office and I'm longing for a deck 4 lounger and a good book!
So, does that mean that another cruise only goes for five days? What is happening for the people that planned on being on a full weeks cruise? I hope you all get compensated in some way?
Why do they need to take two days off?
I think I'd be rather upset if this happened to me.
Well, I hope they have a break from all the stress of the recent weather! What a crazy year! Best wishes to all CMs during the "wild weather of September 2004!"
Thumper1, DCL posted the info about the changes on their website. Both the Magic and the Wonder will make port at Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale) on Monday. The website mentioned discount incentives for those who choose to cruise on the altered cruises.
I'm sure the crew members will work really hard and the Magic will be really shining and sparkling when the 9/25 cruisers board her on 9/27.
I'm sure they'll get more rest and get lots accomplished but I know they'll miss the excitement of the guests and especially the children. Nothing beats the look on a kids face when Mickey or Goofy gives them a hug!
