FYI- Christmas light up necklaces

Mine was new, I pulled the tab out when I bought it. Mine was dying by the 3rd evening, and I did turn it off inside attractions, and during Illuminations. I was able to exchange it for another one, that lasted me the last through MVMCP. This was back in mid November.
Mine was new as well. I never buy battery operated anaything unless the plasic tab in in place. The product was not made for what they were intended to do, IMO. I am glad that Disney was fine with swapping them out or refunding money.

I ordered several from Amazon for around $7 with free shipping before our trip and they are still going strong. Disney was selling them for $14.

I wonder if the fact that the Cast Members had literally both arms and neck full of them, turned on, swinging their arms to attract attention all.night.long. It was a pretty site, but hours a day of them wearing them turned on has to cut down on the battery.

This! Whenever we've purchased a "lighted" item we always ask for a brand-spanking new one still in the package. Bought our DD the lighted Minnie ears. Worked the entire week. No problem.

We were at WDW 12/18-12/21 and I'm pretty sure I got mine in EPCOT and the CM advised at any time we could exchange it for another if the lights weakened or stopped working. I thought it was interesting that was offered up front before we had even purchased them. My DS ended up wearing them to Osborne Lights and a little the next day but so far we haven't had any issues. Clearly based on this thread and the CM mentioning it - they know they have issues :)

Bought one December 2014(the one with the normal sized lights). Just pulled it out a couple weeks ago, and still working great.
