I was just curious as to how many single people go to the fort with their kids and alone. I'm a single dad and we've been 9 times in the last 2.5 years and stayed in our camper.

I see a few people on the posts who never mention anyone coming but them and wanted to see how odd I am lol.

I am not single, but I do go to Ft. Wilderness by myself. My hubby's idea of roughing it is Motel 6.

Now on my annual Ft. Wilderness trip, I do have a friend that usually joins me for part of the trip and my 20 yo son joined me for a few days this past trip.

Some people just don't know what they're missing.

Now to be fair, he would probably join me if we had a big camper, but I'm just not ready for one. I still tent camp. I am looking at teardrop campers (5x10) and may have one of those by my October trip. If I can get airconditioning in it, he may actually go camping with me.

I find this to be very true... Some people cannot understand why I need to go to Fort Wilderness & Disney a couple times a :goodvibes year!

I do the same thing, I've been taking my son long enough now for it to be a tradition :wizard:

Though we do sometimes take related family, we also just go down for some prime father/son time (see below) Just wish we could go as much as you do :moped:
