We are planning our first family vaction to DW and had pretty much decided to stay at the cabins. There were going to be 4 adults and 2 children so the cabins seemed perfect. Plans may be changing and 2 of the adults may not be going. So my question is should we keep the cabin for our family of 4 or switch over to the bungalows at DI? The bungalows will be slightly cheaper. I have never stayed at DW so I don't know how they compare and if the price difference would be worth it.

We know we do not want a regular room at any of the other resorts because DD is 6 and DS is 11 and we do not want them to have to share a bed. The bungalows have 2 queen beds and a day bed so the kids would be able to have their own beds.

Also, if anyone has information or pictures of the bungalows that would be greatly appreciated. I have found out alot about the cabins but I have not been able to find out much about the bungalows.

Any info is appreciated. Thanks!!:p

The bungalows are nice, but you can't beat the amenities at FW, especially for the kids! There is so much to do at FW, that you won't even have to visit the parks! ;)

I would stay at FW - you'll find that you'll never want to stay anywhere else!

I agree that the Cabin at FW would offer more resort amenities for the children than DI, with lots of playgrounds, sand beach, fun boat ride to MK, petting farm, nice bike paths, canoe rentals, etc. The kitchen and separate sleeping for the kids is very nice too.

If the separate beds for the children is the only consideration, and if you don't need the separate sleeping rooms & kitchen, a room at PO-Riverside (Alligator Bayou) may work as well. They have a small slide-out trundle from under the bed that would work well for your DD. Nice pool slide at PO-R also. :)

Thank you for that idea Lisa. I didn't know there were resorts that offered trundle beds. That is defintely a possibility I am going to look into. The main thing we are concerned about is that the kids have seperate beds because DS is a serious kicker. ;)

At this point DH and I love the cabins and we would both prefer to stay there. The only reason the bungalows were considered is that they are a little less expensive.

Thank you for the suggestions!! All ideas are appreciated!

Our youngest DD is also a legendary kicker. We recently stayed at the Polynesian. We had two queen beds & a daybed in our standard room. We absolutely loved this resort. The location, monorail, pools, landscaping, etc. were all perfect. If you want a kitchen, go with the cabin, if you don't need the kitchen you might consider the daybed situation. I think this is available in most of the Deluxe resorts. There are some great rates listed at mousesavers.com.:)
