Hello!! :)

My family & I bought annual passes for Disney World and since we live about an hour away, we can jump in our car and go there for the day. This is our trip report on Future World in Epcot.

This trip report covers two different day trips.
October 21, 2008
October 23, 2008

Our family consists of myself (Joanne), my husband Billy, my ten year old daughter Jacqueline, my thirteen year old daughter Shawna and my sixteen year old son Cimion. My daughters are both home-schooled and my husband is semi-retired, so we go to Disney during the weekday a lot...which is great because it's not so crowded. Being we have the annual passes and can go whenever we want, we like to take our time while we're there. It works out great because my daughter Jacqueline likes to look at every detail and my daughter Shawna tends to get overwhelmed when she's rushed. My son is in school and did not join us for Future World.

A little background on us:

My husband & I moved to Florida in 2002, after being born and raised in New York City. About a year after we moved, we adopted three children from foster care. My children are biological siblings and were 5, 8 and 11 at the time that we adopted them. They had spent four years in foster care by the time we met and adopted them.

I hope you enjoy our trip report! :)

Our first day trip to Future World was on October 21, 2008.

We loved Spaceship Earth! This is something we will definitely do again when we go back.

After that we headed right into Project Tomorrow which we also enjoyed a lot.

We enjoyed our time at Innoventions East. Jacqueline (my 10 year old) loved being there and we ended up staying and exploring for over two hours.

Our second day trip to Future World was on October 28, 2008.

We stopped into Club Cool to try some of the International soda samples. My kids had a blast doing this!

Next stop was Mission Space. We actually rode this twice. First we did the easy version together, which was fun. Later on in the day, my husband and daughters wanted to ride the intense version, so I sat outside on one of the benches and waited for them. It was so nice to sit outside and just soak up Disney. :)

After that, I met them in the Advanced Training Lab...which was so much fun! They have a team game set up...all space related. My kids loved doing this...and their team won.

My husband and kids loved the whole Test Track area...the ride, the showcase of cars and the kidcot station:

Next stop was The Seas.

After going through it once, my husband & I realized it was a great place for some "alone" time.....so we went on again...without the kids. ;)

Hi,
Just found your tr and really am enjoying it.

I live in NYC and would love to live 1 hour from Disney.

Hi Scott! Thanks!! We're originally from Brooklyn (born and raised) and we moved to Florida in 2002. :)

We also visited the other Innoventions (there are two, East & West).

Making a velcro frog. If you have kids, make sure to stop in there, it's fun and they get to take it home.
