Future cruise credit

We were in the latest round of cancellations so I have chosen to take the FCC but now I have a question. I had two staterooms (2 people in each) and back to back cruises so a total of 4 reservations. I moved to next year with the same configuration. Is the credit one large amount that I can use between both of my back to back cruises? Or is the amount specific to each one? And is it Per person as well? My travel agent gave me a break down per person which was the total for both cruises but the totals were vastly different (person 1 in each room had 6x the amount of person 2). That just makes no sense to me! Thanks for any help you can give!

I've had 2 cruises cancelled so far. Here's how I calculate it and it matches DCL's calculation every time.

Stateroom 6020
Passenger 1:
Cruise Fare: $1000
Taxes/Fees:$200

FCC = Cruise Fare * 1.25 = $1000 * 1.25 = $1250
DCL will refund the $200 taxes/fees to you.

Repeat for Passenger 2
and then Repeat for Stateroom 2

Then repeat all of the above for the 2nd cruise.

I hope this helps.

The credit is applied per person based on the cruise fare. Each person will have a cumulative amount of credit from both cancelled sailings. You can use it on 2 new sailings, but if you have any leftover credit after booking the new sailings, it will be applied as onboard credit for the first sailing you have scheduled.

The best way to figure out your credit is to look at your confirmations from you cancelled sailing. Take the cruise fare only, and time it by 1.25%. This will give you the credit amount per person. The first 2 guests should be the same.

I had a 5 night baja booked that got cancelled for 2 people and was able to spread the FCC for an already booked b2b cruise.

Thank you everyone for the information! I have no idea where she got the per person information that she did That made no sense at all. Everyone paid the exact same price.
thanks again!!

It's supposed to work that way, but I had a similar problem I've got to work through with DCL (via my TA, Costco :crazy2: ). I rebooked and they took all the credit from the first people on the reservation, leaving plenty of OBB for the last people on the reservation. If it's just your family, that might not matter, but since everything, including excursions is broken out per person, you could end up with one person having unused credit, while their parent or brother has to pay. Also, since we might have to cancel one member, this will have an impact on our accounting. And to muck it up even more, it's my sister (who's paying her own way) who's ended up with all the extra credit on my room. I have nothing left and she has almost $2000, which is practically her whole fare. So... I have to get this resolved.

OP, you are wise to question what they are doing. I even (so far) had someone tell me that the lead and the second on a reservation pay different amounts. It's very bizarre and certainly not laid out for the average consumer to easily see.

I just had this problem yesterday. I booked and paid for three cabins for a vow renewal. I had already booked the same cabins for next year, based on a recommendation from the wedding planner.

when the FCC was applied yesterday, I still owed money on my cabin for next year, while the other two cabins had huge credits. When I asked for all the credits to be applied to my cabin, since I paid foe the trip, I was told that they were per Castaway Club number, so they couldn’t move the credit.
They ended up moving my credit card deposit off of the other two cabins, applied it to my cabin, and then each cabin ended up with some onboard credit, but I was ultimately told I have to wait to go to guest services onboard to have them fix it.

Will DCL still give cancelled cruises 125% if you transfer your credit to another cruise?

Yes, DCL is providing 125% FCC for all cancelled cruises if you transfer it to another cruise prior to May 2022. If you opt to get a refund then you get 100% back and lose the extra 25%.

If your cancelled cruise already had the 125% FCC applied from a previously cancelled cruise then the original 125% FCC will be applied to your other cruise. In other words, DCL won't give you 125% FCC on top of a previous 125% FCC.
