My ds is a fussy eater and i am considering taken over some food in my baggage e.g cereal so i know he has something in him before hitting the parks.
Could anybody post me a link to what food i am allowed to take into the country with me
thanks

As far as I know its Only Meat, fruit and Dairy products.
Is it worth taking anything? First night we get there we hit publix for Coffee, creamer, crisps, water, Coke etc. all cheaper than home. 2L of Coke 89c (50p) we are so ripped off here.

Not long now :) Just wanted to let you know you can get cereal at the food court at POP.

Yep you can get cereal at the food courts but I found them expensive for a small portion.
I'm going to take cereal bars without dried fruit in just in case in the suitcase unless we use Garden Grocer's delivery service which could be worthwhile ;) ;)

Thanks everybody!!!
i'm not joking when i say he's fussy he only eats golden nuggets and honey nut loops and he knows when they are the cheap brands have they any of them there?

ariel175 - I too have a DS who is a fussy eater, I usually take some cereal bars with me as there are only certain ones that he will eat and that way he has something should he decide that he won't want anything else. I also take teabags (for me cos those in the states are yuck), I have also taken a soya spaghetti bolognaise mix as again it is the only one DS will eat. Although walmart etc do sell alot of things we recognise something like heinz baked beans for example are about 3 times more expensive than we pay

thanks snookhams. He did use to like cereal bars he used to eat the frosties ones until they added what looks like a layer of lard around the bottom(even though he won't eat frosties) but i think i might just get a pack in incase.
I've packed the milkshake straws as that is the only way he will drink milk so i know at least he will have some calcium.
Sometimes i think i'm over the top but his needs come first

Glad we have a child that eats anything, our problem is stopping him eating:rotfl:

I have often wondered what makes a child so fussy our eldest DS will eat anything and everything in sight and has a fantastic appetite taking a carry bag full of food to school every day ( at 15 and 6'5" he has a lot of body to fill and the swimming every day uses up the energy), youngest DS also a swimmer although only swimming 3 sessions a week at the moment has always been so fussy and eating out with him is a nightmare - not so much in the states where they don't tend to add sauces to burgers etc i.e. they come plain but here, most childrens meals come with tomato sauce or for example every childs meal that they have ever had on the plane have always come with baked beans a big no no for him infact any form of tomato sauce near his plate and he won't eat the rest of the food!!!

What is it with size of kids these days? our son is only 12 and already 5' 10"

Annoys me with Tomato sauce in Orlando, Everytime I ask for Steak sauce and vinegar but they also insist on bringing Tomato sauce with them.:sad2:
2 years ago on Disney cruise we were seated with a family from North Carolina and the Dad had Tomato sauce on everything even Baked potato, could not eat a meal without it:confused:

I think Publix and Goodings stock honey nut loops and possibly golden nuggets if you can get to the stores.
I totally know what you mean about their needs coming before anything else.Fussy eaters may get better when they get older, our DS has agreed to try pasta sauce this week and some jam which for him is a miracle. I'll see how he copes , still can't persuade him to try gravy or mashed potatoes though.
Good luck:thumbsup2
