furnace & smoke alarm UPDATE Th morn

A few days ago our house smoke alarms went off. DH thought it was the furnace. Well again last night it did it again at 4am! This morn I opened the door over where the furnace is and it went off again!
Do I wait for our service contract cleaning in 2 days? or would you call now? would they make me pay for a service call?

OK I called and they said to wait till we have our service cleaning Thurs morn (today). They called me 10mins before they were due asking to be rescheduled. I reminded them I called Tues cos our smoke alarms went off (3x's now although not since Tues) and they needed to get here today. I told them I leave for work at 1230 and havent seen or heard from them since.
Wish me luck guys - I do only work 5mins from here so I can get home quickly if it gets late - I'll call them and tell them to call me there - after all I made this serv call apt how many months ago?

Sounds like it could be a carbon monoxide issue. You could wait, but you might not wake up to let the service technician in.

I would comment, but vicki is right. Your safety is questionable in the house. It just depends on how high the CO is.
I've heard about it being so bad the the residents of the home didn't wake up, I know of a case that the CO leak was very minute and the lady was able to go for about a year, they think, with memory loss, sleepiness, dizziness, and other mild symptoms.
