Has anyone used this! OH MY! I thought it was a joke...this little odd looking comb!
I borrowed from a friend. I have a yellow lab. It got so much hair off! I couldn't believe it! Best of all the next day we had less shedding! It took all her corse hair out! Left her with soft fur!
The thing cost about $50 at pet smart! But online it is around $30...
I must have one!

I hadn't heard of these so thanks with one rough collie and three moggies this should really be usefull.

We were in Petsmart Saturday and the Saleslady was Raving about it. We have a Golden and a Lab and with all the shedding they are doing, I am ready to try about anything.

We use the furminator on our Black Lab and it works incredibly well. Our dog seems to like it.

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to try it.

Cheaper than yet another new vacuum.

Is it just for dogs or does it work on cats too? We have a long haired cat & there is constantly fur all over my house. Thanks!

The website indicates that there is one for cats too:

We don't have one of those, but we do have a special comb we got to help get the undercoat stuff. It's amazing how it helps our golden mix!

Spinning, I use one on Hunter and it's great!:thumbsup2

Another good tip with the Furminator is to use it directly on carpeting. You won't believe how well it picks up the hair on the carpet!

I bought mine on QVC and it is one product I will be ordering again!

It works great on cats too. We love ours and when I can keep the kids from running off with it we try to do it every day. There is a real difference in how much fur collects around the house.

Thanks for the tip - I just ordered one of these for the German Shedder, I mean, Shepherd in my signature! :thumbsup2

These rock, best dog invention ever!!

Lab folks - how badly do your labs shed?? Bear is MUCH worse than any Husky I've ever had.

I love ours!!! It doesn' work as well on our long haired cat because his hair is really silky, but it still is better than a regular brush.

It works great on the other cat and the dogs though. I've even used it in the spring to shed out the horses!!

We are getting one of these! Question? How often do you all use it? Right now my girls brush our lab/golden (we think) mix everyday to minimize the hair in the house.

Yes, we have one - it took me 8 months to get over the sticker shock of a pet brush being $27 and finally get one!!!   I wouldn't even pay that much for a human brush but this brush is so worth it. :thumbsup2

It has 1,221 reviews on Amazon - Furminator so it is no joke. It even has Youtube videos of people brushing their pets and it looks like shearing sheep! YouTube Furminator

Once you get over the sticker shock and get one yourself, you will not be sorry. I got mine at Amazon since they have free shipping AND I could return it if I didn't like it. (Not a problem there. :) )

I have a cat. One of the reviews mentioned getting the medium size brush instead of the small as it takes less swipes to cover the same surface area. I did that and I'm glad. :thumbsup2 My cat loves to be brushed, but only for a while, and then she's had enough. The medium brush is the perfect size.

Oh, and the colors, purple, blue, yellow don't signify anything special, like if it's for cats or dogs. It just comes in your choice of colors. Took me a while to figure that out. Order by size. My friend who tried my cat's brush, has a Labrador & would need a large or extra large brush.

We just brought our chocolate lab to the groomers so she could get "furminated". The groomer used both the shampoo and conditioner/treatment after using the brush on her and I swear she lost 5lbs of fur. It is SO nice not to have her fur flying everytime she shakes and it beats having to vacumn constantly. She goes back to the groomers next month for another treatment.:thumbsup2

YES! i bought 1 2 years ago and muttered the whole way about paying so much for a dang brush. Not so amazing with my Dane and GSP, but for the other 2 double-coated dogs, it is worth its weight in gold.

I use mine on my two long-hair cats and one short hair cat. I expected to get a lot of hair off the long-hair cats, but I could have made a new kitten from the hair off the short-hair one! It was amazing!

We too have a yellow lab, nothing else will work on her.
We also have a shelty, our senior citizen. I am not sure if he hates it so much because his skin is thinning and more sensitive w/ old age or if it is because of his long hair and perhaps it pulls to much for his liking.:confused3
I do not use it on my old man cause the long wide tooth combs work just as dandy for his hair.
Works really well on short hair dogs though!:thumbsup2

I sometimes sweep twice a day! We have hard wood floors and when the wind blows through the window the hair connects to form small balls and blows like tumble weeds!
Before we got her we were thinking about carpeting, we will stick w/ wood now!:thumbsup2
