Funny thing happened today at babiesrus!

I went to get a gift today for my sister's baby shower. I chose 2 things from the registry and an adorable outfit (not on the registry) as well as wrapping supplies. When I got to the checkout I handed the lady the registry printout and indicated the items I had purchased from the registry and told her that the outfit was not on the registry. She seemed to understand, no problem. Then, as she was getting ready to scan one of those little cards that you put in with the gift to indicate who it is from the conversation ensued as follows:

Goofy cashier lady: 'was this on the registry?'.
Me (confused - I had no idea what she was talking about, so I just reiterated what I had said before) 'The linens are on the registry, the outfit is not'
Goofy cashier lady holding up the little card: 'But was THIS on the registry?'
Me (still can't quite believe this): 'You are asking me if she registered for the CARD?"
Goofy cashier lady: 'Yes'.
Me (thinking you have GOT to be kidding me!): "NO, she did NOT register for that card".
Goofy cashier lady: "well, I just wanted to be sure"
Me: 'But those bows right there, they were on the Registry!'

Bizzarre...I can't imagine anyone in their right mind registering for a card from the gift wrap section!

Oh my, or maybe it was just a loooong day for her. I've been there, ok, maybe not, but I'm trying to sympathize.
