Ok, so we just got back from a week and a half at the Fort. On Friday night, the MK closed at 9, so we were on the FW dock waiting for the fireworks to start. As we're waiting, the boat from the MK pulls in carrying a ton of people coming to the last hoop de do show. One woman walks behind me, looks at all the people on the beach waiting for the fireworks and turns to her companion and says "I don't know why all these people would come all the way out here just to sit on the beach and watch the fireworks. There are other beaches around that are much more convenient. Why anyone would ride the boat all the way out here just to sit on the beach eludes me."
She had no clue that FW is actually a resort where people stay. I guess she just thought FW is only a beach and a performance hall.

That why some people think that Fort Wilderness is one of Disneys best kept secret! ( Although I think the secret has gotten out lately with how hard it sometimes is to get a site 
)
