Knowing that this is not going to be received well, Dodge Ball was not all that terrible. What it did do for me at least was teach me how to not get hurt and that was to just go into it and catch it or as the name implies "dodge it". I remember the first time I discovered that, after being afraid to get hit for a long time I just decided I didn't want to have it hurt nor did I want to be out. I discovered that running toward it and catching it square on my abdomen and arms didn't hurt at tall and I usually made it to the end. What a trip that was. Did the same thing with softball and pool. I was very week in both and practiced by myself for months and when I finally went back in the rotations I was hitting over their heads (softball) and running the table on them (pool). For 40 years now I have been trying to play golf the same way I overcame those other three and I'm here to tell you that golf is a whole lot harder.
My daughter who hasn't played more than 30 rounds in her life went out last year and got a hole in one. I have been playing golf pretty much regularly for 40 years without coming even close. I hate that game and it hates me!
