On December 16, 2021, Toys "R" Us opened a two-story flagship store in the American Dream mall in New Jersey. On August 7, 2022, Toys "R" Us opened new locations in nine states: California, Georgia, New Jersey, Illinois, Nevada, Louisiana, New York, Maryland and Missouri.

They are also found as Macy's toy department.

Wow. I had no idea there were any standalone stores. Unfortunately, Florida & North Carolina aren't included in this list. Hopefully, they'll have stores, before we have grandkids. I did know about Macy's, but that's not the same.

When I was a kid, I had to go to the hospital for an operation. Shortly before that, I had entered our supermarket's Halloween drawing. The prize was a plastic pumpkin filled with candy.

After my operation, I was wheeled back to my room. My mom had found out that I had won the plastic pumpkin full of candy and wanted to surprise me when I woke up from the operation. My mom put the pumpkin on one of those tables that fit over the hospital bed and wheeled it right up to my face. She wanted the surprise to be the first thing I saw when I woke up.

It was.

When I woke up, I saw this HUGE, orange, monstrous face staring down at me. I screamed! For a moment, I thought I'd actually died and went to hell!
