For my sister, it was hats (in the cold). She's 58 now, and still won't wear one.

The only time I ever wore a hat was when I was in the service or if it was -30 degree F, (sometimes not even then and I'm bald).

We'd watch crazy stuff on the news and with that Day After TV Special then we'd go to school and they'd tell us all more awful things in the Weekly Reader then adults be like, "You'll be fine just turn off the lights & get under the desk."

Grunge & Punk was inevitable, so is the way we all adult shoulda known what they were growing.
