Many times I cajoled my mother into buying a cereal based on the toy inside the box. At least half the time I didn’t like the cereal and ate very little of it.

You’d think she would have gotten wise to my scheme after the third time.

I definitely picked based on the toy - but I liked most cereals so that wasn't a huge issue. I can remember wanting to try a new cereal based on the commercial, but then not liking it. Usually those were very short lived on the shelved.
