Funny Add On Conversation with DH (long)

We are going in August to BCV using 2004-2005-2006 points (total 450) for a 2 bedroom and 2 studios for my Sister and Inlaws. We are out of points till August 2007.

So today, I said to my DH "Can we make our vacation longer by three days. We would have to change our airline reservation ($300) pay for three nights at the BCV for a two bedroom ($1800) and extra rental car ($400)." All estimates, but pretty close.

He says "Sure why not"

Then I said "If you are willing to pay $2500 for an extra three nights in Disney, how about we just add on 50 points so we are really saving money in the long run. I think it would be around $4500" (also an estimate).

He says "Okay, call DVC."

Boy, I am good.

My guide is out till Friday, but I left him a message.

By the way, I bet you can do better on the rental car price by checking out www.mousesavers.com and "stacking" a coupon/rate code/contract ID at National Car Rental. I got a price of $56 for 3 weekend days, picking up & returning at the Dolphin!

the ideal is to make the extra days as expensive as possible - so he will agreed to an add on at DVC.

If you can convince him that a 120 point add-on is better you would get your 100 bonus one-time points. If you can pull that one off, I would really be impressed.

You know 120 more points would be great, but definately pushing it.

I think he also agreed because he is golfing this week with his buddies while I am at home, as usual. I love my boys, but it would be great to get away for a few days or even a few hours.

I made him feel bad and he weakened. Hey what ever works, right?
