It was really stormy and about 5pm--the few fireworks that go off when Cinderellabration ends went up this lady looks at her friend and her friend replies--They must be putting off the fireworks becasue it is going to be too stormy tonight--oh that makes sense her firend says just doing the fireworks early. I was laughing and DH didn't know at what, when I told him he laughed too--yup no music, still light out lets send up the fireworks! ;)

well it didn't happen in disney but in my dance studio
ok we were waiting to go in and it was my mom alexa kristin and me and somehow we talk about wdw and kristin isists she went to a beach in orlando but me and alexa are like no you couldn't have and we argue and finally i say maybe you went to blizzard beach! i have to say it was hilarious and we all (except kristin) started cracking up

Got back a couple of weeks ago...While standing in the "regular" line waiting for MGM's stunt car show :moped: (already held FP for RnRC) the couple behind us with 2 boys were evidently rather warm (as we all were) :sunny:.
One comment was "if you guys don't settle down, we will go get in the car and go back to Ohio right now!" :rolleyes1 . The wife ask the husband why the group next to us was moving already..."I told you honey, that's the Fast Pass people...I don't like that idea because it just teaches your kids how to cheat and butt in line". Believe me, I really wanted to tell this parental model exactly how, uuummmm..."uneducated" he was.

I heard a Mom tell her son "We're going to have lunch and then we'll go on the teacups"

aaaaahhhhhh big mistake! i hope they don't plan on spinning!!! :rotfl:

O'kay, this didn't happen at WDW but my husband and I still laugh about it. When I was in college I worked for the Disney Catalog. I had a call one day from a man who placed an order for a Disney video. After I had given him his total we were trained to politely ask if there was anything else we could help the guest with. He said very seriously, "Yeah actually there is something. I have always wondered... isn't "Buena Vista" (Disney's Movie Distribution Co.) Spanish for "Walt Disney"? I had to keep myself from giggling out loud at his question and I replied, "No, I think that "Buena Vista" means something like "Good View" in Spanish and "Walt Disney" is still pronounced "Walt Disney" in Spanish :rolleyes1 . He just said "Oh, thanks. I have always wondered" and he hung up. To this day, everytime we buy a new Disney video my husband and I still tease that "Buena Vista" is Spanish for "Walt Disney" and get the giggles!

My grandparents took me to WDW every year when I was little, like 3-8. By the time I was 6 or 7, I always wanted to ride Space Mountain. My Grandmother would put us on the TTA and tell me it was SM. I wasn't the brightest.

When I was 15 my whole family went. My mother HATES roller coasters but for some reason thougth that since SM was in the dark and she couldn't see what was coming up she would be ok. THis was when you sat two people to a car in SM. SHe and my DDad were behind my sister and me. We had barely gotten up the first hill when she started screaming "JIMMY, JIMMY OH, JIMMY%$&*$$ OH %^$&%%$#OH JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY $%^$#. We were all laughing so much nobody really remembers the ride. My father's leg was bleeding when we got off where she had clawed him. To this day anytime Mother does something ditzy we all yell: JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY.

This wasn't really funny, but my mom thought it was funny how I held my composure.....

Headin home on the POP bus from Epcot there is a family of 2 girls (13, 14, 15...about) with their parents and they are all discussing what all they want to while on their vacation. I truly didn't mean to eavesdrop, but the bus was so quit and they were so....loud. From what I understood they were at Pop for 8 more nts. Daughter 1 "Well I would like to do AK, and Blizzard Beach. and maybe the night of AK we could hop over to MK to watch fireworks." Dad: "So we'll need to buy a water park ticket, or two if we want to to TL, and what else?" Mom: "MK definitly and MGM" Dad: " So we'll have to buy another ticket for MK and MGM. Sounds like we all got it planned out."

OOOh if only he knew how he COULD have planned and saved!!!

I heard a good one last Saturday on the Monorail to MK.

The person was pointing to the Grand Floridian and asked if that was Cinderella's Castle. I had to chuckle!!

Boy, things are moving all over at WDW! When I was at Boardwalk a few months ago, a couple approached me, pointed across the lake at Yacht Club and asked "Is that the Grand Floridian?" What bothered me was that when I said it wasn't, they said "Are you sure?", as if they dared question my knowledge of Walt Disney World Geography!

I was waiting for a bus at the Polynesian and I overhead a couple say, "I think we should go to MGM and ride a few rides. I think we can see the backlot tour, the Terror of Tower, and Rock N' Rollercoaster." It was 7:40 PM and the park had a closing time of 9..

I was a cast memeber in Asia of the Animal Kingdom and i was working the entrance of Majarajah and it started pouring down rain!! (woo-hoo i get to go home early if this keeps up!!) and this couple comes up to me all upset and asks me:

"Can you guys turn off the rain now? i'm sure the plants and trees got all the water they need!"

Do you know how many people think WDW is in an ENCLOSED ENVIRONMENT?!?!?!!?

We were on JP at IOA at our last stay at Disney and there were these two kids behind us getting all freaked out by the dinosaurs. And the mom kept saying, 'They're not real it's alright." throughout the ride, as we got into the part with the raptors one of the kid goes "Mom are we going to die?" She explains, "No it's just a ride it's going to be alright." Right as a huge steel box falls from the cieling, of coarse part of the ride, the kid screams, "We're all goign to die!" Right before the T-Rex pops out and he screamed screamed screamed as we plunged down the drop. Then as the boat settled down and everyone started to get out after all his freaking out he says, 'Let's do that again, mom!"

not heard in WDW, but it is about WDW: I remember 2 years ago, a friend's DH was going to the Orlando area for a convention and she decided to tag along. She asked me for some information about WDW-specifically MK-and I gave her all the info and tips I could. One I forgot: there are rides inside the buildings. *smacks forehead*

She came back and said it was a horrible trip, they were bored out of their minds because there was nothing to do. She only counted 5 rides in all of MK and couldn't figure out why I loved it so much or how I spent so much time there-she said they were in and out in 3 hours. I tried to gently explain to her that there are more than 5 rides-most of them are hidden in buildings. She said "well why didn't you tell me that?" I wanted to say "well why didn't you get a park map??" but I said "I didn't think about it". I mean, really-LOL

My mother is terrified of roller coasters. Well, a few years ago she decided to ride the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. When she saw the sign stating "now entering Space Mountain" she freaked out, thinking she had gotten on the wrong ride! :rotfl:

Overheard in the World Showcase just a few days ago:

A Mom stops dead in her tracks, turns to her husband with a face of rage, and screams "Don't YOU dare ACCUSE me of getting MOODY! I AM NOT MOODY AT ALL!!!"

We had to race ahead to get out our laughs without Ms. Level-headed hearing us.

Another:

A little girl with Grandpa, who, after having closed MK and ridden a packed bus back to AKL, just wanted to get into the room.

The little girl goes on an extended diatribe on the plausibility of Barbie and Princesses being able to coexist in Disney environments ("Well, they make Barbies AS princesses, but you certainly don't see BARBIE at Disneyworld, so I guess she can only be a princess...and on...and on"). She then spots a CM locking the giftshop doors, and stops the grandfather in his tracks and says, "Grandpa...I need to ask this lady a question."

Grandpa, getting closer to snapping, "What do you need to ask her?"

Little Girl: "If Rapunzel is a Disney Princess!"

Grandpa just stares at the little girl in complete silent befuddlement, at which point the girl says "Ok....maybe it's not that important."

It was hysterical to witness.

Overheard someone ask the bus driver in Fort Wilderness: "Is this the bus to Disney World?"

The bus driver replied: "You're in Disney World."

:p

the last time we were in disney my son was seven and was having a difficult time with the hidden mickey concept. He would keep pointing to odd things like puddles, and markings on trees and saying hey look a "hidden mickey".
Well we were back at FW and a grounds keeper with a shiney, bald head was wearing his big ear protectors on top of his head and my son yells out
hey look that guys head is a hidden mickey!!!! :earsboy: :earboy2: :earseek:

Even the grounds keeper couldn't stop laughing. :rotfl2:

There were so many funny things that I heard last week that I wish I had written them down. Last Saturday I was sitting outside BTMRR waiting for my family when this family comes off the ride asking what they should do next. The mom said, "Let's go on the Huckleberry Finn ride!" Everyone got excited and off they headed to the Huckleberry Finn ride. It took me a minute to figure out that they wanted to go to Tom Sawyer Island. :teeth:

Anyways, I got a little chuckle out of that one.
