I was in the RnR pre-show and I overheard this 13ish girl say, "Mom, who are those guys?" Mom answered back that they were Aerosmith. At this point I looked over at the mom and daughter. Mom smiled at me and just rolled her eyes.

Am I that old at the age of 26 that today's kids don't know Aerosmith? ::sigh::
:rotfl2:
No, I just think maybe the daughter was a bit "sheltered" :rotfl2: Maybe she was a Hip Hop fan. :confused3
My DD is 16 and they all know who Aerosmith is........

Just the other day an old Madonna video came on TV and my 13DS asked, "who is that? she's hot!
:rotfl:

It's not just kids. I told one of my friends, a 29yo guy, I was "going to Bon Jovi's" and he asked if they had sushi..... :scared1:
How the guy made it out my house alive, I still don't know.:confused3

DH and I overheard this while eating at 50's Prime Time this Christmas.

The little girl with the family next to us was watching the film clip of the Opening Ceremonies for Disneyland, complete with Walt. She pointed and said "look mommy, thats Disneyland." Mom's response? "No, thats the way Disney World used to look. Disneyland doesn't have a castle."
:sad2: Poor Mom.....I guess both castles just "grew" then????:lmao:

Uhhhh...Poor parenting???? Sorry, couldn't resist.....High School without Aerosmth would have been a completely different experience.

Reminds me of my mom. Back when I did the college program, I worked at the Studios. My mom and aunt had flown down to visit me. They would drop me off and pick me up from work so they could take my car. One night Steven Tyler came in to my store just before closing. I had a brief encounter with him (the only person in the store he spoke to - of course we almost crashed into each other too, LOL) and then left to clock out. I'm obviously pretty excited and go running out to the cast parking lot and yell to them, "Guess who I just met!!" (keep in mind they were both in HS when Aerosmith first came out and got popular) They ask who and yelled, "Steven Tyler!" Just bouncing around, giddy as can be. My mom looks at me confused, "Who?" Ugh! Buzzkill! :rotfl:

I'm in the haunted mansion a few days ago and an old man asks "is this a small world?" and his lil grand daughter goes "no, its the president's house"

Bumping and Subbing. Keep them coming, I love this thread.:yay:

Not really something I heard, more a funny life experience. So in my family takes everybody once every 3 or 4 years and that includes the four amigos. Im the oldest and my three cousins at this time age 12 11 and 10. So we are off on our own at AK and decide to ride Dinasor (count down to extiction). looks cool right well at least I thought so. well we are riding and we get to the point were they take the picture all eyes on dino, theres screaming maybe some crying idk all that happened but when we get off we go look at the pictures and I cant help but notice that 2 out of the 4 of us are missing.:confused3 come to find out later they were so scared that they hit the floor of the buggys. havent let them live it down especially when they try to act tough.:rotfl2:

Heard one today walking towards Test Track (right by the entrance, where the cars are on the track outside), an older woman behind me says to the man she was with "Oh, you mean this is a ride? I thought it was the monorail!"

I've been looking for this thread...

I was at the Magic Kingdom this past week and hear two funny things..

First, we are in the Dumbo line and the dad in front of us asks his kids' "What's the name of the princess with the TWELVE dwarfs?"

Next, at the Pirate and Princess parade the kids says to his parents, "I see Shrek!"

I'm sure I've been quoted in this thread only because my friends and I like to make stupid comments (loudly) while waiting in line. Things like "So, now, this one only goes upside twice, right?" while waiting for IASW. Or "After this, lets take the monorail to Universal"
I promise, I'm not really that dumb!

Boy, what a trouble maker! :cool2:

Years ago, my mom was at the mall and she saw a kid with a Beatles CD telling to her mom, "I didn't know Paul McCartney was another band before Wings!"

My mother has never quite recovered from that.

Funniest things I've heard at the parks:

-A guy in one of the character restaurants asking Chip: "Are you Alvin, Simon, or Theodore?" (he was kidding, but it was funny)

-My friend once apologized to Snow White in MK after her 6-year-old twins broke into a fistfight over who got to hand over the autograph book by saying, "You understand, right? You live with 7 men."

I think there might have been a thread like this, but we overheard something so funny last weekend I just had to share. While we were in MGM Studios we heard a teen telling anothere teen that they were going to see the " Ozzie Osborne Christmas lights" :rotfl: Now those would be some interesting lights!!!

I'm slightly embarrassed to admit this, but it took me awhile to figure this out also, and I'm 38. I just couldn't get why Ozzy was sponsoring something at Disney LOL :rotfl:

Last trip instead of going by ourselves we had the whole family going together, MIL, FIL, SIL, BIL, nephew and us three, DH, me & DD12. They had never been to WDW before.

Standing in line for BTMRR, I hear my MIL tell my daughter "Go get some popcorn and a pop so we can have it for the show"! :rotfl: Pretty priceless and she got on the ride, but my daughter's face was priceless and the same on MIL when she found out what kind of ride it was!

:lmao: That is so funny.... my DD and I do the same thing! :lmao:
And we LOVE to watch people's reactions!:lmao:

Earlier this week, I was working at Stitches Great Escape. As the guests were filing into the final chamber, there was a little boy who turned to his Grandmother and said "Grandma, I have a bad feeling about this."

I almost lost it.
