When I went to DW for the first. We rented a car and rode the trams. All week long the CMs were telling you to watch your head exisiting the trams. I finally turned to my then DBF "Why do they keep telling you to watch your head?" He cracked up and said because most grown people can't stand up in the trams just the kids". I just said "Oh". ....You see I only measure 4'11.5' tall. Just wish my weight as child size also!!!!

haha, that made me smile :)

This is slightly off topic, because I thought it, but then realized how stupid I was. In WDW we see many sights- some wonderful, some very touching. I was in Downtown Disney, walking toward P.I. when I saw a dear little girl in a stroller. Her mom was taking her picture. Nothing unusual about that. Except this child had a yellow face. Now, we see many disabled children in WDW, so I thought perhaps this child had on some sort of medical mask. Then I realized the whole set up was made of lego. duh!:lmao: :guilty:

the last time we were there we heard 2. the first one was a little girl walking with her mother and yells out "It's ok mommy, we don't need to find a bathroom anymore, I just went in my pants!" The 2nd one was when we were in line for space mountian. The little boy in front of us was unsure so his father said "It's ok, its just like the one you went on this morning, you know the one you threw up on" We still laugh at those!

My DHB and I like to watch the "must see attractions-tvshow" when we are at WDW. Somewhere in this program the lady (Krissa is her name I think) visits AKL and goes on the Kilimanjaro Safari. And at one point she yells the word "vulture" in such a funny way, that we have to laugh every time we hear it :D Last visit we were staying at AKL and we were outside to watch the animals. My DHB just wanted to make me laugh and he yelled vulture, vulture. And suddenly a CM came over and said the most hilarious words: "Excuse me, but that's a zebra!"

At breakfast one morning at the Kona Cafe, a young girl wouldn't sit down and eat. She wanted to hurry up and get on the "train to Disney World." Her mother was so exasperated, she said, "Sit down, or I'll tie you to your chair!!!" The girl sat down, looked at her mother and said, "With what?" Even the mother had to laugh at that one. :D

I'm not sure if it's the funniest, but maybe the stupidest, and it came out of MY mouth!! Actually, my family thinks it's pretty funny and can't stop teasing me about it. Every trip since, no matter who is with me, they've heard the story and have to see where it happened!
In June, 2002, I was at WDW with just my then-17 year old DS. We had never seen AKL, so decided to go there on our arrival night, to check out the hotel, eat dinner at Mara, and go see some animals. As we were standing outside TRYING to see animals (it was already dark, plus I'm near-sighted and had forgotten my glasses!), I decided to look around at the balconies. I then made the STUPID comment, "Hey, look! Isn't that weird? There are people on every balcony and they are ALL skinny and have little heads!" To which my DS replied, "Mom....those are poles...".

I just found this thread today and I'm only on post #45, but these had me in tears. Hopefully I'll get caught up soon!

This was hilarious....

I was window shopping at Epcot (England) and my wife went to the washroom. On her way, there was this mother with two daughters who were throwing quarters into a fountain.

The mom gave one daughter a quarter and said "Now don't throw this quarter, its for Aunt Karen to make a wish on". The girl proceeded to throw the quarter into the fountain.

The mom said, "Didn't I just ask you not to throw that into the fountain? That was Aunt Karen's quarter to make a wish on".

The daughter, without hesitation and with a straight face said "But...I wished for another quarter for Aunt Karen".

LOL

Here is mine though not a comment but funny and to me touching as well. several years ago we were going through World showcase, I was on my electric scooter. We were passing through England when the Guards that march around there marched out and surrounded my scooter. Now some people may like this kind of interaction, I don't. Anyway I was sitting there feeling uncomfortable when I hear a very loud Attention command, followed by a Forward March command though they sound different when the are yelled out, anyway the guards start marching away from me over accross the street to the sidewalk led by, " MY HUSBAND" Everyone was clapping and cheering and saying things like Semper Fi etc.
That is still one of my fondest memories of things he has done for me.

My friends went to Disneyland a few years ago and took a bunch of props to do multiple staged Splash Mountain photos. They had tea cups and saucers that they would drink from, a book they would put up like they were reading, and my favorite - they cut a ping pong ball in half and drew big black circles on them so they looked like big eyeballs and put them over their eyes :rotfl:

My brother and I did something similar to this. He is 29 and I'm 33, which probably made it a bit more funny. We decided to go on Test Track, and got paired up with a family of 3. DB and I were sitting in the back seat, and when we got to the spot that your picture is taken, we hugged each other with ridiculously petrified looks on our faces, hamming it up for the camera. We got to where you see the pictures and the family and CM started laughing so hard, they had no clue what we had done for the picture, and I think they ended up buying one. I wish now that I had purchased one also.

Test Track?

We were in the long and winding line of Jungle Cruise and there was a lady and her family in line behind us. The entire time, she fussed and grumbled, complained and whined. When we got to the boat dock to get on the boat, we were allowed on the boat but the lady and her family had to wait and board the next boat. But, before we boarded, we heard the lady say "I better see some *** **** animals after waiting in line this long. I would have given anything to have been on her boat and seen her reaction to all the *** **** animals!

Lol, my friend was a CM and she said it happened all the time!! She never knew if they were talking about Fastpasses or Test Track.

They ARE good, but I didn't think they were THAT realistic! Next time you're there, be very, very careful near the railing. There are rumors that a dragon lives in the lake!

What guards march around?? In all my years of going to Epcot I've never seen this. More details please!!

once in 2002 at mgm we saw meg and at the time we didnt know who it was we asked a little girl in front of us who it was and she said JASMINE.we then moved on. i still regret it as i would have wanted to meet meg she is so rare now.

Not actually in the parks but in a rental car on the way. We passed a pasture with cattle in it. If you've ever noticed, there are always little white birds around the cows.

DD looked out and commented that every one of the cows she saw had a white bird on each side walking along with the cow. I told her that they must be birdieguards. :rolleyes1

(She didn't think it was funny either...:sad2: :rotfl: )

I have two. Both happened at the Tower of Terror.

1) We are on line alongside the dried-up fountains, and a woman ahead of us said to her party: "I'm surprised that Disney would let this place get so run down."

2) Another occasion: I'm with two friends and we are leaving the library, heading for the boiler room. A CM is holding the door open for us, and my friend thanks him. The CM responds: "Don't thank me yet."

Not that surprising.

Supposedly, when Walt saw the original concept sketches for the outside of the Haunted Mansion, he vetoed them, saying, "I don't want anything at Disneyland that looks old and run down." He requested the art be redone showing a pristine, painted mansion with manicured grounds. Then he approved it, saying, "We'll take care of the outside and let the ghosts take care of the inside."
