I'll tell a funny story on myself:

This January, DD and I went on a "girls only" trip. Since it was a budget trip, we stayed offsite and drove to the parks each day. For some reason, when driving into the parking lot, I noticed Spaceship Earth differently than I usually do. I saw the wand and hand (soon to be gone completely, yay!), and I really noticed the ball itself.

I remarked to DD that the ball looked so pretty, but then I saw all kinds of little dark blobs on the top and sides of the structure (oh, BTW, did I mention that I am near-sighted??). I said, "Wow, honey, look! There are PEOPLE up there, cleaning the top of the ball!!". DD gave me this 'what is she talking about?!' look , and told me, "Mom, those are STARS."

Boy, I felt dumb- I thought there was a full cleaning crew up there, scrubbing the SSE tiles!!

We visited WDW in November, and my DD, who is 6, had never been on a roller coaster before. During our planning process, I really talked up the Barnstormer as a good first roller coaster ride. She was very excited to go on it. Well, the day comes, and we went to Toontown Fair and got in line to ride. DD was literally jumping up and down, she was so excited to get on the ride. We got in the car, and started up the first hill. She had a HUGE grin on her face, but as soon as we crested the first hill, it faded a bit. She was fine for the rest of the (brief) ride, and we exited. As we were walking back toward Mickey's house, I asked her, "So, didn't you just love that? Would you like to go on again?". She looked at me, with a big smile on her face, and said, "No, thanks Mommy. That was the WORST thing I've ever done! I'm NEVER going on it again!". All this with a big smile! The whole rest of the trip, every single ride we went on, she would ask suspiciously, "This isn't a roller coaster, is it? 'Cause I HATE them!" I couldn't help but laugh to myself as I reassured her on each and every ride.

The EXACT same thing happened to DS5 (at the time) and me at Carowinds on the Scooby Doo roller coaster!

We were waiting for Mickey's PhillharMagic last month durning our vacation and in the crowd of people was a family who had a small boy. He was probably 5 or 6 years old. To pass time the boy and his monther started singing songs....a few minutes into the sing-a-long he sang very loudly
M-I-C-K-E-Y, "L"-O-U-S-E...DH and launghed for 20 minutes. LOL

We were at Epcot last week when I heard a man tell his wife "Hey, let's go to Interventions". At which point I looked at my DH and said "I guess that's where the dysfunctional families go when they visit Epcot".

Now that's a park my family should've gone to when I was growing up! LOL!!

Ok, I've got a couple...

When my youngest DD was about 4, we visited MK. Both of my daughters love The Little Mermaid, so we had told them about Ariel's Grotto. Well, Grotto isn't a word that is in most 4 year old vocabularies, so we were quite embarrased when we were standing in a crowded line and my daughter blurted out "When are we going to see Ariels crotch?"

On another trip, we met friends for dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern. The adults were at one table, and the kids were at another. Throughout dinner, all the characters except Goofy had stopped by the kids table. On the second trip around, the same daughter kept trying to get Chip's attention. When Chip finally came over to the table, she calls him to her and says "Hey, go get Goofy".

These are HILARIOUS!!

On our honeymoon, DH and I were young and had a lot of energy, so we got used to zig zagging our way through the crowds to get where we were going without being slowed down by others. Usually this meant DH pulling me by the hand around slow moving groups and people with strollers. One day we were speed walking through WS trying to make a PS and I said to DH, "We should have been in training for this all summer. We should have practiced speed walking." and he said to me, "No,this is how we should have practiced" and then he demonstrated by dashing ahead three steps to the left, then veering off to the right, then off to the left again, etc. I laughed so hard I almost wet myself, just imagining him at home, zig zagging around the neighborhood for exercise.

That's so funny! There is another family in our development who are as huge a WDW fan as we are. They are going in September and started walking every evening about 2 months ago. The other day I noticed that they have started crossing from one side of the street to the other and back. I thought they were just mixing things up a bit, but maybe they really are training for the all dodging they'll be doing.

This is more sad than funny but....

A couple of weeks ago we were at EPCOT shopping in the at the Chtistmas store in Germany. We were looking at the Christmas Tree decorated with all the pickles when this 30 year old (Roughly) guy said that the pickle tree looked cool. (now here comes the sad/funny part) He then said "Wasn't it the Germans who invented Christmas"?

I looked at my son to verify what this guy said. No words were exchanged between my son and I . He just nodded his head yes.

Heard this in Disneyland this week. A little guy about 5 was asking his dad if the rides were going to be scary. Dad said no. He asked again and dad said no again. Then the little guy said, "What about the haunted house ride?" Dad said, "This is Disneyland. There's nothing scary here but the price of a hot dog!"

That's great! The last time we came home from Disney we went to the mall and a bunch of people were standing around talking and our dd (2) stood behind them and asked if Cinderella was coming out?! She also got her swimming suit on and was ready for the pool...too bad it was still winter here in Wisconsin

This thread is so funny I can't stop laughing

Funniest Ive heard wasn't at Disneyworld but was on the flight there. The flight attendant made an announcement to all passengers that there were nut allergy suffers aboard so there would be no packets of nuts given out, she then announced ''please could all passengers please refrain from eating their own nuts!''. My DS9 roared laughing followed by my DS7, after about 10minutes DS7 looked at me puzzled & said ''Mummy, what was I laughing at?'' Which set us off again much to his bemusment

I have a cute one from our trip last week.

We were at Fantasmic, waiting for the show to start. There were two boys, about 7 & 10 horsing around in front of DS 10, and I could hear them talking but wasn't really paying attention to the words. My DS turned to me and said "Mom, those boys are freaking me out!" I said "Why?" and he said "They just said how much they LOVE Mickey."

I asked him "Well, son, what's wrong with that? You love Mickey too, don't you?"
And he said, "Yeah (long pause) But just as a Friend"

I almost lost it.

From Epcot this past Saturday:

Upon seeing that the Oh Canada! attraction was closed for the day, a teenage boy was yelling to his friends, "Hey, our best dream has come true! Canada's closed!"

While waiting for everyone to get seated on Soarin' a small boy behind us asked, "Mom, does this ride go upside down?"

Not really a comment, but we always make "funny photos" on the rides ("sleeping" on Test Track, "reading" the park map on Expedition Everest, etc.) and today at AK we got off of Dinosaur and saw that someone else had done the same thing! He was "sleeping" on the ride. As we walked out the door a young couple was walking by just cracking up. The guy was going on about how on earth could anybody fall asleep on a ride like that, wonder if he got knocked out, that was so funny, stuff like that. Then he said he should go back and buy that picture just to show his friends that someone fell asleep on the ride. Makes me wonder what people have thought of our staged ride photos!

We were at the Magic Kingdom and a family was up in the rose garden posing with the Mickey & Minnie topiaries. A castmember ran up and told them they weren't supposed to be over the fence and in the flowers.

The lady looked point blank at the Castmember with a dead straight face and said "Oh its ok, we're from Connecticut." The family then went right along with taking pictures like nothing ever happened....while the Castmember stood there awestruck trying to figure out what had just taken place.

So now when I'm with my friends and someone does something stupid, I just say "Oh its ok, we're from Connecticut."
