Funniest comments you've overheard in WDW

We drove down to WDW last weekend and it rained the whole way down. Sunday morning was a bright and Sunny day, but Florida was experiencing record cold. As we walked to the bus stop, my 3yo noticed how cold it was and exclained "the cold scared the storm away".

My second story from our trip this past week either belongs in the "funniest" or "outragous" thread... depending upon your mood at the time. For what ever reason, everyone seemed in good spirits, this night, so I'm going to report it hear.

We were riding the Disney bus from MK back to Pop Century when I hear the words "we're lost"... coming from the BUS DRIVER!!!

So, after leaving Disney property, two more wrong turns, and 25 minutes later, we start to pull in to Pop Centry where the driver says words to the effect "this concluds our tour of ALL 49 acers of Walt Disney World..."

Funniest comment? That's an easy one. While on a bus to MGM Studios, I overheard an English man talking to his family. They had just gotten in the night before and had obviously never been to WDW before. He pointed at the Tower Of Terror and said, "Apparently that's the hotel they call Terror Tower." His family then proceeded to ask why they call it that and what's so terrifying about.

I don't know... that doesn't sound very funny. I guess you had to be there.

White riding on the boat from WL to the MK last year, a man was saying to his wife, "I hope they don't run out of ponchos". I personally think they manufacture the darn things somewhere in the utilidors. Not even the week we were there in June 2002, when there was 19" of rain, did they run out of ponchos :umbrella:

Something we overheard this past weekend. A little girl was asking mom what the ducks did in the Seven Seas Lagoon when it got cold. The mom replied that she shouldn't worry because Disney heated the lagoon so the animals wouldn't be cold.

I am completely responsible for this one... On My first trip to the MK in 1999(honeymoon) My Dw and I were in the chapeau getting hats. This was before I became a big Disney fan, and My DW was going through the characters, asking Me if i wanted a particular hat. I was getting somewhat frustrated, and she asked Me if I wanted this somewhat girlish Mickey hat. A weirdly quiet moment concided with Me saying in a somewhat loud voice "I DON'T LIKE MICKEY!". :blush:Oh, the looks I got! . My Dw reminds Me of it every time We walk into the MK. And I usually reply with "but I do now!"
Oh I remember that day! That's when the world came to an abrupt halt for just a moment. So you were the one . . . :scratchin

i'd hoped I had no witnesses. Please, I've paid My penence since then! :worship: :worship:

Okay, I posted a while back, but decided I'd tackle the whole thread before I posted again. Boy have I laughed. And of course, there was the moment where I read a post and said "Hey! That same thing happened to me".......only to find out it was my post. Heh, heh. Anyways:

This isn't at Disney, but it is somewhat Disney related. Okay, the first thing you have to know is that my dad is a computer freak. So he is FOREVER dragging mom and me into this one computer store, ALL THE TIME. Well, one night I said they could go without me, I'd had enough of that store. My mom comes back and says that they were talking to a clerk and mentioned they had been there before and he says "Oh yeah! The Disney credit card!". *slaps forehead* What a sad day when my parents are known by their Disney Visa, and not by name. I'm only bummed I missed it.

I think the best of all the posts in this thread are about the families who upon entering MK stand there and say things like "what do we want to do now". It crackes me up just visualizing it every time.

It took me like 4 days but I finally read all 81 pages. Some of these literally had me laughing out loud. However I must say...Im a bit nervous now about going to WDW in December. One of you may be there and over hear my family during our first visit and get names wrong, places wrong or just look totally confused.

My favorite will always be, a comment I've heard in just about all places in WDW. "Tomorrow we'll be going to Disney World"... Um, your already there...lol! I think they are refering to MK.

Not necessarily th funniest thing I've herd, but perhaps seen?

When my wife and I were still novices, we sat down at Tony's Town Square after a good first long day. We ordered our food, and...well, we asked for a glass of house white wine with our meal.

So, how were we to know?!? The look on the CM's face was priceless.

but while in the parks with my 6 year old daughter in June 2005, all of the CMs that we encountered kept calling her Princess. After hearing this quite a few times, she whispered to me "Mommy, am I really a princess? Because everyone keeps calling me that."

My DD6 was watching Storytime with Belle. She had wanted to get picked to go on stage but I told her not to be disappointed if she didn't get chosen as lots of girls want to be picked. Well she didn't get chosen but she was fine with that and enjoying the show. Until the little girl who was "Mrs. Potts" wouldn't answer Belle's question as to what they should have for dinner. Belle kept asking her what she liked to eat and the little girl wouldn't say anything. My DD whispered to me extremely annoyed, "She is ruining the show!" It was so funny that I told Belle's helpers. They laughed and said they needed someone like her on stage and told her to come back for the 5 o'clock show...and she got to be Mrs. Potts!

I'm going to add a quasi-related one. I posted earlier about my cousin's son and "his first American duck". . . well this is the same kid. Two years ago my aunt and went to visit them in Italy and we kept laughing about the ambulances. Their sirens had this little tune that we kept "doo doo doot doo"ing the whole trip (and continue to do) We were driving down the coast one day and started doing it and my cousin's son starts singing along to the tune, "Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh" We started cracking up! We didn't realize until he picked up on it that it's the same tune from those notes of the theme song.

We went back last year and every ambulance we saw/heard we were singing Winnie the Pooh to them. LOL!

I'm not sure if this is considered funny or cute - but in line yesterday at MK to get Max (Goofy's son?) autograph and photo, there was a family with small girls - 3-5ish I would say. The older of the two commented (in her sweet little girl voice).. My book just won't be complete with out Mickey Mouse mommy!

was reading through this thread and it reminded me of something my 9 yr old said in the restrooms in disney.
me my 4 yr old and 9 yr old were in one of the family restrooms at disney and I had been complaining about prices at disney anyways that week and I guess he heard that, anyways you know how they have the tampon and napkin dispenser? ...well he saw NAPKINS $0.50 and said
"OH MY GOSH MOM I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY CHARGE THAT MUCH FOR NAPKINS TOO!!" he was sooo serious!! it was hilarious and he didn't know what I was laughing at! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Overheard in the bathroom near Peter Pan's Flight (on Feb 10th), a mom and daughter having a conversation in a stall:

Mother: Go pee-pee.
DD: I don't have to.
Mom: Well, try.
DD: I want to ride the pony ride. (I think the carrousel?)
Mom: Well, go pee-pee and you can ride the pony ride.
(Pause of about minute and a half.)
DD: I went pee-pee and poo-poo. Can I ride the pony ride two times?

Heeeee. I cracked up, the mom cracked up, the whole bathroom was giggling. :)

Funniest thing I ever heard was not at the parks, but it was park related. We were at a museum in Massachusetts that was going an exhibit on Vikings, and in the middle of a very crowded area a small voice pops up as deep as he can go, "You are not the first to pass this way . . . . " Half the crowd lost it; you could tell who had been stuck for a long time at the Maelstrom queue before!
