Heard recently while exiting Safari... "Why are the animals so lethargic? Do you think they've been sedated?" Evidently this lady is used to seeing the crocodiles snag wildebeasts on the National Geographic channel.

My new favorite person I've met at WDW is a pre-K student named Brianna. While sitting next to each other at the bar at Prime Time, Brianna instructs me to help her color the picture of Goofy on her kids menu. I was supposed to use red and she was using blue. I asked her what color she would get if she combined red and blue. She thought for a moment and then confidently replied, "Beige!"

OK, I've read almost every post in this thread, and I even posted myself a while ago, but on Sunday afternoon (May 22, 2005) I heard one I haven't heard before.

We were at the TTC, waiting for the ferry to the Magic Kingdom. A lady standing next to us asked her son if he wanted to take the ferry to Epcot, or the subway. So her son asks "What subway?". She explained that both monorail tracks really go to Epcot, but one goes underground most of the way, so that people won't have to look at the ugly monorail tracks. I really wanted to hear her explanation of how to take the ferry to Epcot!

Next day, we were at Epcot (we took a bus, not the ferry or the subway :rotfl: ) and heard another woman arguing with a CM. She wanted to know where "It's A Small World" was. The CM directed her to Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom. The woman said "No, I was on it last year, and it was here in Epcot, somewhere in World Showcase". So the CM asked her if maybe she was thinking of Mexico (there are some singing dolls in there). The woman insisted that last year, Small World was in Epcot, and the year before that, too. Then, remembering that it had been closed when she was there recently, she told the CM that of course it had been in World Showcase, and that they moved it while it was closed.

And then there was the little girl at The Animal Kingdom who asked her mother why there weren't any live dinosaurs on display, and then answered her own question. "I know, mommy! They all died when you were a little girl."

Ouch! on that last comment:)
And, I too would like to know about that subway and ferry to Epcot. Wonder which guidebook she'd been reading....;)

I got to help out my friend at Tower the other night ( I got to wear the trenchcoat and all! ^^) and one of the questions somebody asked the other night was "Is this the Tower of Power"? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh my gosh, I died when I read that. Never let it be said that kids are good for the ego. I think my children are the best ever, but I could hear one of them saying this with no problem. :rotfl2:

While on the Kilo Saf. thhe family in front of us (mother,father,2 kids, &grandma) were looking and pointing to everything. The little girl turns to her grandmother and says "Grandma is there somewhere we can go and pet the animals?" Without skipping a beat the grandmother says "Oh,No honey these animals aren't REAL!!! Isn't it amazing how they can get them to be so life like!" My DH and I couldn't contain ourselves. Her son said to her "Mom they are real animals" The mother just looks at her son and says "No their NOT I saw a special on the travel channel about how they made them. And if they were real the lions would eat the zebras and how would that look on a Disney ride!" I guess you can't argue w/ that logic. My DH and I still say it everytime we see the ride "It's amazing how they look so real!!!!"

LOL!

My 3 year old DS thinks Buzz Lightyear's name is Buzzlight Year, and last time we were at MK, we were in a store and he asked me if he could have a "Buzzlight" and I told him maybe later. I got a very strange look from a woman next to us, now I think she must have thought he was asking for a Bud Light!!!

My 3 year old DS dose the same exact thing! He also went through a faze where he called Pinnochio 'Ohokie'.It took us months to figure out who 'Ohokie' was.
Last December when we were at the Magic Kingdom I overheard a mother telling her children that they only sold the Mickey Mouse ice creams during parade times.I have no idea if she was serious or not but I think I may have to use this one.My 3 year old just isn't getting the cocept of "Later".

I was looking at the display in the Stave Church at the Norway Pavilion waiting for my DH. A man strolls in looks around and as he walks out I heard him telling someone. "Oh it's just a display of Mexico stuff".????? :confused3

While over by test track, I overheard some lady say "lets go on the crash test dummies ride" The Test Track sign was literally right in front of this lady.

While in line for the monorail, some guy said that he rode the "space to Mars" ride, referring to Mission:Space.

My DH and I were laughing so hard! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The funniest thing I ever heard there was said by my almost 9yr old daughter. We were at River Country in line for a slide and there was a guy in the line ahead of us that was very tattooed and pierced including rings in both nipples. I could see my daughter looking at him quizzically and then she leaned over to me and whispered "I didn't know you could pierce those!" I whispered back "looks painful doesn't it" and she just nodded with huge eyes. It was so funny I thought I would die trying not to laugh! :rotfl2: You can tell we live in a small town!

so the first time we were there,...and we were at chef mickeys eating..my daughter who was 6 at the time yells ...LOOK ITS CHIP AND DIP!!!! ..instead of chip and dale...it was so funny....the rest of the trip ..they were called chip and dip..by all of us.. :rotfl:

When we were there Tuesday, May 17th, we saw this little girl walking out of frontierland all tired. She was cute, she had her face painted. right as we go to walk by, she turns to her mom and says "I don't want to be pretty anymore." the whole crowd around us must have heard her, because we all chuckled. Definitely a cute one.

Ate at Boma the other night...it was the first time there for my sister and her husband. While eating dessert, sis tried her first Zebra Dome. She bit into it, her eyes half closed, and she looked at her husband and said, "You've just been replaced." :rotfl2:

When my DH was my DFi, we took our first trip to the world together. We were in Epcot sitting in the Canadian pavillion waiting for Illuminations when we overheard the following

DW(screaming and nasty)-"Did you get directions from that girl over there to the fireworks(mind you they are sitting on a bench in front of the lagoon)
DH(also yelling and nasty)-"Uh-I tried Hon, but I couldn't understand the lady. She was speaking Nova Scoatian" :rotfl:

DH and I had just had a lovely conversation with the CM in question and had not one bit of trouble understanding her. Then they launched into a deep geographical discussion about whether or not Nova Scotia is in America or is it just one of our "outposts"!?!?! :confused3 DH and I were trying so hard not to laugh but it was pretty funny.

Overheard in the Men's room at MGM, relayed to me by DH:

Dad and son are in a stall and son says "Daddy, tell me a story." Dad starts telling a story and son says "No, Daddy. That's the short story. I need the LONG story."

That's too cute!! :teeth:

It's because the audio-animatronics broke down, right?

The funniest (and most embarrassing) thing I have heard came out of my granddaughter's mouth when she was about five.

We had flown to the USA on Virgin airlines who always gave the children a backpack full of goodies i.e. puzzle books, pens, sunglasses. My granddaughter was very taken with her red and white sunglasses. As we approached the boarding area for the tram to go to TTC she said in a loud voice:-

"Nanny I am going to put my sunglasses on so everyone will know I'm a Virgin!".

This coming from a tiny blonde five year old who looked a total angel!

Please just imagine about a hundred pairs of horrified eyes looking in my direction (as Virgin Atlantic wasn't a very well know airline in the US at the time) and me spouting incoherent rubbish about "sunglasses with Virgin written on them, ha ha ....ummmm, it's an airline.....ummm.... oh dear!"

I overheard a family constantly telling their daughter while waiting in line for Stitch "it's only a 3d movie, it's not scary!"

boy were they surprised when they walked into the room and saw the chairs with the harnesses. they didn't stay for very long after that.
