Fund Raising Idea

As a Kiwi in the UK, my thoughts have been this week with the people in the Christchurch earthquake. I have been feeling a bit useless so far from home.

I have been trying to think of things I could do to help, I am quite a good baker and I thought I could make some cupcakes and sell them in boxes of 6 for £10.00 to family and friends.

If I was your family or friend would you think this is too expensive, or ok given it is a one off type of thing?

I think that's a lovely idea Kirsten and I'm sure your friends and family would buy some if they've got the money available.

Maybe you could sell smaller batches for say maybe £5 also if that's possible, gives them the option if they don't have the £10 available.

I hope it goes well for you though and you can get some money to send over, I'm looking to give to the Red Cross, it's the only way I can think of helping. But I'd buy some cakes if I were closer

I think it is a wonderful idea but maybe price them individually with an option to buy more at a discount

Just wanted to say thank you to you all and tell you I have raised £140.00 to donate to the NZ Red Cross from selling cupcakes to friends.

They were very tasty as well. (well you have try these things out don't you?)
