No, sadly I didn't take any of the room but it was really nice. We thought it was bigger than some of the other studios we've stayed in.

August 20, 2009 (part 4)

We decided to head over to Adventureland first—the Magic Carpets of Aladdin had a 15 minute wait and Pirates of the Caribbean had a pretty short wait too so we thought that would be a good place to start. When we got to Adventureland there was hardly anyone around. Definitely not as packed as we’ve seen it before. There were a bunch of people (mostly kids) playing near those Tiki Man squirters or whatever you want to call them. We decided to walk through them too (yes, we hadn’t even been in the park 15 minutes and we were already looking for a way to cool off. Haha!) The bad part about arriving mid-afternoon: HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY!! After getting squirted we went to get in line for the Magic Carpets. The line was not long at all so we only had to wait a couple of cycles before we got on. While we were waiting I took a picture of the surrounding area—not too busy at all!

And one of Emma's, those are the tiki dudes I was talking about.

Then we were assigned to our carpet. Some people thought they could just go to whichever one they wanted. And then when we finally got to board there was this huge family who took FOREVER to get situated. I think they had about 3 carpets and the kids kept bouncing around from carpet to carpet. So while everyone else is buckled in we’re stuck waiting for them while they try to figure out where they were going to sit. GRRRR! I think the CM was pretty annoyed too. But finally we were able to ride.

Next up was POTC which I don’t think we waited more than 5 minutes for. Those CMs sure have it made, getting to be in the air conditioning all day. haha After Pirates we ventured toward Fantasyland and rode everyone’s favorite…it’s a small world (please note the sarcasm). Honestly though, I do like IASW (as long as we’re not getting stuck on it…but that’s a whole other story that some of you may have heard). I remember riding it when I was younger and I loved the little hula girls and those heart-shaped flowers. Plus it’s a classic.

After IASW we had a couple options: we could either see the parade or go to the next showing at Hall of Presidents. Emma really didn’t want to see the parade so Hall of Presidents it was. We were all curious to see the updated show, not that I’d be able to remember what the old one was like. It’d been ages since we last saw it, mainly because my sisters and I thought it was boring. LOL. But it turned out to be a neat show. There’s a screen presentation and then of course the roll call of all the presidents.

When the show was over we wanted to get a small snack so we ended up going to Tomorrowland. I saw that the walkway through the castle was open so I suggested we walk through Fantasyland to get there. Kind of the long way, but we had not walked through the castle in a long time...it always seems to be closed off!

Let's play a little game. As we were walking through Fantasyland, Dad spotted this cloud and said it looked like a Disney character. Any guesses as to who he said it looked like?!

When we got to Tomorrowland we saw a small crowd outside Auntie Gravity’s—turns out Push was there! So we watched him for a little bit—all the kids were kind of freaking out, pounding on him and giving him “high fives”.

Since we were right there we got some treats at Auntie Gravity’s. Dad got a root beer float, Emma got a strawberry smoothie, and I got an orange float (orange soda with vanilla ice cream. MMMMMMM). We then went to find a spot outside to enjoy our treats. I could still see Push but it looked like he was leaving. Funny story: the first time we saw Push was on our trip last May. I thought it was so cool how there was this talking trash can and I really could not figure out how he could talk and move around like that (don’t laugh!). A while ago I saw on the DIS how you could always spot the guy controlling him. Well, sure enough as Push was leaving, I saw some guy walking a few feet behind Push with a little microphone and a bag that must’ve had the controllers in it. I’m not gonna lie, that was kind of disappointing—it was more fun not knowing (even if I sound like a dork!).

After finishing our snack Dad asked what we wanted to do next. I was curious to see what the wait was like at Buzz Lightyear so we went over there. I think the posted wait time was something like 40 minutes but we definitely did not wait that long. I think it was more around 20. More proof the wait times are not always accurate…

By that time we were ready for a break so we decided to head back to the Wilderness Lodge for a quick swim. I’ll leave you with a few random MK pics I took on the way out:

Woo! Love the update, Sarah. All your MK pictures are great -- they definitely put mine to shame. I didn't take one moment to just enjoy it while we were there. I was too obsessed w/ pin trading and riding Splash Mountain an obscene amount of times. I swear, next trip I'm DEFINITELY going to take it all in and get sweet pictures.

Push is so funny. There's supposedly some website that gives all the showtimes and I know Push was listed on there. He comes out a few times a day!

We did have a fun time at the MK...it was a good start to the trip. That's funny about HOP...there was this family behind us and I just caught the end of their conversation...the kid must've said they liked the show and the dad said something like "Yeah, you liked it because you got to take a nap."

The float was sooo good. You could pick your flavor soda and ice cream (chocolate or vanilla) which was kind of cool.

Nope, not Goofy. Any other guesses anyone??? Don't worry, I'll tell you who it was eventually.

We have never done the DDP so I'm not sure if the floats could've counted as a snack credit. Sorry I can't help you!

HI! Sarah! I'm back and I have been on here sporadickly as I have had some major cheerleading chaois to deal with ! So now I'm up to your TR and I have to go back and read the pages! But I did checkout the cloud and I think it looks like the Blue Genie guy from Aladdin not sure of his name don't kill me for that! LOL! But I also wanted to say the soda floats were great! I had one with Choc ice cream and rootbeer! Yummy! And for those of you wondering yes it is considered a Snack Credit on The dining plan! so are Milkshakes and sundaes etc..

Newest souvie addiction-I'm going to go with collecting charms for a charm bracelet. This seem to be very popular on the cruise. Going to the same store, but in a different port and getting their charm.

I still would love to go but if we do we'd have to act fast...it's hard to believe November is only two months away! I'm pretty sure the first day of the tournament is the 26th, which is Thanksgiving. Then it continues through the weekend. And I'm not sure I'll go with Dad, Mom, and Claire. We've just been throwing around a lot of dates for possible trips so we'll see when I actually decide to go!

I wish I was going on 2 trips in 2 months! I really doubt we'll be able to go for the basketball tournament. I still would love to go but if we do we'd have to act fast...it's hard to believe November is only two months away! I'm pretty sure the first day of the tournament is the 26th, which is Thanksgiving. Then it continues through the weekend. And I'm not sure I'll go with Dad, Mom, and Claire. We've just been throwing around a lot of dates for possible trips so we'll see when I actually decide to go!

I can't wait to find out what the cloud answer is! Well at least you are going back ! That's all that counts! We did book BB while we were there I wasn't sure we were going to because I'm going on a cruise with my Sis for her 40th bday but we agreed we will stil do disney! The cruise is only 4 days!
