We are planning on taking our DD and two of her friends to WDW to celebrate her 16th Birthday --- end of Janary '06. We will arrive very late on a Friday night, and leave Monday morning. That leaves two full days to celebrate. Any special ideas or activities anyone can suggest? I'm thinking of somewhere fun and special for dinner on Saturday night because that is her actual birthday day. It's going to be late January so the weather won't be terribly warm, I guess...so a day at a water park probably won't happen. I think she's going to want to spend one full day at MK, but beyond that, I'm looking for something that would be a little "older" fun for 16 year old girls.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :flower:

Thanks,
Sammy

Well, I'm not sure of your budget, but you might look at getting your daughter and her friends spa treatments while they're there. Here's a site that tells a bit more about what kinds of treatments you can get and what they cost:

I would also suggest having dinner at Cinderella's castle. It's my favorite place to eat at the parks just because it makes me feel like a princess. princess:

Also, make sure to tell the Disney castmembers that it's her birthday. They will do special things for her while she's there, and since it's her sweet sixteen they may do really special things for her. My aunt received flowers in her room for her birthday one year, and many people have received "birthday cupcakes" and such in the restaurants.

Hope this information helps you out! I'll post again if I think of anything else.

What about a tea at the Grand Floridian? Some girls may be into that.

Fun dinners would include 50's Prime Time, Whispering Canyon, 'Ohanas, Hoop Dee Doo. If she wants more sophisticated, maybe Artist Point, Narcossees, Yachtsman's Steakhouse, but of course that means $$$$.

They'd probably love the mouseboats or one of the tours.

We took DD to HDDR on her sweet 16. They always have a birthday "hi"- and they singled her out as sweet 16 and 2 of the cast members (guys) came down and kissed her on the cheek- it was cute. NO GUARANTEE it will happen, but let them know (wherever you go) that you're celebrating DD's sweet 16- m,agic could very possibly happen!

I don't know if your daughter likes to be noticed, only you know, but how about a birthday button. You can get them in the MK at City Hall and at the other parks at guest relations. :cool1:

It is really fun have cm's and other people say Happy Birthday to you. Sometimes you also get a free desert i.e. a cupcake.
