For those who read the TGM Forums, please forgive the duplicate post...just trying to gather more ideas! Here's the question:

I love the idea of doing something to make the last night special...usually we adults are just thinking about packing before a long drive home! We are thinking of going to MK for the last evening...although it will be getting crowded with spring breakers and cheerleaders. We probably will not spend the $90 or so that it would cost for us to have a character dinner in the park...and I don't know that we'll stay to watch Wishes, etc. because we will have done that earlier in the week.

Soooo...any fun ideas for special things that you do with your family on the last day/night? We're looking for fun desserts, special souvenirs, attractions at MK that won't be too crowded in the late afternoon/evening. Would love any and all suggestions to end the week on a special note without blowing the bank! :cool1:

How about sharing a "Kitchen Sink" at Beaches & Cream (Beach Club) and then walking over for a round of minature golf @ Fantasia Gardens?

Where are you staying? Are you wanting to be in MK until a certain time only or considering other places in the World?

You could spend an evening at Pleasure Island. Take a carriage ride at one of the resorts. Take a walk on the Boardwalk. I am sure you will get a lot of other ideas. Whatever you decide have a wonderful time.

We're staying offsite...so we're open to anything. However, our kids are 8 and 4 so we're not planning on a late night. I was thinking about watching Wishes from the Poly beach and having dessert (where?) at the Poly...but I've never been to that resort so I need to look into that more. Plus that might get us back to our condo a little later than we need before a long day of driving the next day!

Watching the fireworks from the Poly is great. You could do an ADR for Ohana or Kona- check their menus- or if Captn'Cooks has reopened grab something and bring it out to the beach. The Electrical Water Pagent starts 15 minutes before the start of Wishes and goes right by the Poly beach as well. Is it close enought o your trip to know the fireworks time?? Also- if you have ADRs at the Poly you'll be able to park there and avoid the MK exodus- should get you back to your condo quicker. The Boardwalk is also nice- there are wandering entertainers who set up shop and put on shows (magicians, etc) and you can rent the surrey bikes. You can catch the Illuminations fireworks from the bridge that leads to the Beach Club.
