Fun Family Tradition while Onboard

DH and I never miss Jack Jack's baby race! Our kids think we are nuts, but we always get a good laugh.

DH and I caught that in passing last cruise. Very cute. The one we thought was going to win it all didn't! We were on the edge our seats. Except that we were standing at the railing on the deck above, watching it from there. (which was a neat view)

Watching from above is definitely a must to get a good view! Last time one of the dads gave the baby a little shove on the bottom to help push him along and the baby face planted into the carpet. These races are taken very seriously! Inevitably something funny always happens.

I love unpacking completely on Day 1 (labeling drawers with post-it notes listing contents, etc.) and having my husband laugh at me unpacking completely.

Later in the week, usually Day 3, I love laughing at my husband when he's looking for an obscure thing and I tell him to just read the post-it notes.

Finally, near the end of the week, usually Day 6, I love laughing at my husband when one of the kids is looking for an obscure thing and HE tells them to just read the post-it notes.

;)

Only one disney cruise so far, but...

We put on our matching Mickey PJs every night and ate Mickey ice cream bars in bed while watching a Disney movie.

Sorry, nothing new. I'm always thinking of possible traditions though, so I'm sure I'll come up with others to add on to our cruise rituals. :)

That is completely adorable and I am stealing it for my first cruise to Alaska 2016!

All these traditions sound great! We are going on our first cruise in Feb 2016. I can't wait to start some family traditions with our little ones. Thanks for sharing!

Our Traditions:

On the 1st night at dinner I ask the server for a cheese plate with the bread for the following nights of the cruise.

.

Cheese plate? Is that the same as the "all hands on deck" or something different? Is it on the regular dinner menu? What is on the cheese plate?

Thanks much,
Kate

Yes, the cheese plate and "all hands on deck" are the same thing. You can get it from room service. There is a picture above.

DW and I have a tradition of sorts that came by a fluke. After dinner each night, we go for a walk on deck 4. Usually it is an equivalent of 2 miles (# of laps varies on each ship). It's a go way to gets some fresh air and help the food digest.

Enjoying reading all the cool traditions, just a little over a month until our 9th sailing. We have many of the same traditions but one we do that is not posted here yet is during sail away we have a set of Mickey hands that we wave goodbye with. Also do champagne delivered to room on embarkation day, bring my own bottle of Makers Mark on board, DW & DD get manicures with nails painted in Minnie poke-a-dots and the past 3 we have been able to get a cabana at CC.
Do you have the coffee delivered in the morning? I would hate to have everyone woken up by room service knocking. I have read that lots of people order it the night before and that it is still hot. I would love to know how hot it really is. I am always the first one up and need my coffee. I quietly sneak out and go up on deck and grab coffee and come back and sit on the veranda as well.
We have a pot of coffee delivered at night, with Mickey Bars of course, and it is still hot in the morning for DW.
Our tradition....DH and I get really peeved at each other while packing that last evening.

Oh wait, you said FUN traditions.
