Hi Everyone! My Family will be going to stay at the BWV for the first time this year, and I was hoping that I could get some suggestions from those of you who have stayed at BW on what fun things not to miss at the Resort. We are sooooooo excited!! :cool1: (oh, by the way - my family consists of myself, DH, DS (9), and DS (3).)

Thanks for any and all replies!!! :thewave:

My DW and I stayed at BWV in Feb of 05. We liked it alot. I love walking the Boardwalk at night. The nice thing is the close walk to EPCOT and the other resorts in the area. As for things for children to do at the BWV ai am sorry I might not be much help, we do not have kids. I just wanted you to know that it was a great place to stay. :bounce:

Hi there! Let me start by saying that in all of the Disney Resorts I've stayed at the BW is my favorite! I am not much for the "party" scene and very much enjoy my serenity. Don't be fooled by the hulabaloo that goes on as you can find your peace and quiet there as well.

I highly recommend you make the time to just stroll the BW at night. There is so much going on. The last time we were there we saw a juggler, a roving pianist, there are the midway games, face painting/tattoos, funnel cakes, the beautiful scenery of the boats on Crescent Lake. Walk over the bridge to the BC and all around by the Swan & Dolphin back over the other bridge to the BW again. Rent a surrey (but watch out for the hills as they are killers!). Mmmm....the bakery in the morning! My kids liked going to Community Hall for a bit to wind down and kill some time. My DH and my parents absolutely LOVE the ESPN Club (me, I find it a bit noisy!).

The proximity to both EPCOT & MGM are great - you can walk or boat to either and often times walking is faster than the boat. We get off the boat at the Swan/Dolphin and walk over the bridge back to the BW - it's faster!

Enjoy your trip...I'll be there in 52 Days!!!!

I forgot about the bakery. There is a Chocolate Peanut butter cake :mickeybar that is out of this world. It is a good size for two to share. The rest of the boardwalk has great activities and carnival style games. It was a great place to stay. Spoodles is a good restaurant, JellyRolls is fun to listen to the dueling pianos....

Check out this link it list all that there is to do on the BW...you have probably already seen it.

Oh the humanity! Peanut Butter and Chocolate in a cake!!!!!! :p This will be my 4th trip and I've never had much of the food posted on these threads. Like the one above, or Dole Whips or the cinnamin buns. I feel so deprived. I think I'm going to gain weight on this trip regardless of how many miles of walking I do in a day.

PS - beautiful pic, thx.

The Boardwalk area is great. Beside the shops, you can walk over and check out the Swan and Dolphin, and BC/YC for the next trip. Its a nice walk around the lake.
