For those of you who don't know (I don't know if this has been posted already or not) Today and tomorrow are Fullerton Railroad days at the Fullerton Amtrak station just north of Disneyland. Last year, Disneyland had the E.P. Ripley on display for kids to climb into the cab, ring the bell and sound the whistle. This year, they've brought #1 C.K. Holiday and the Kalamazoo hand car. The hand car has just been completely refurbished and guests are allowed to climb on it and take pictures. Something that hasn't been allowed in quite a number of years.
Disney also has people there discussing their Environmentality program and how the Steam trains were all converted to BioDiesel last April. The Subs have been converted as well.
Finally, Michael Broggie is there signing copies of his various books and selling Carolwood Pacific memorabilia AND, one more person whose name I forget who has done those excellent picture books. When I have a chance I'll get the business card.
This is all in addition to the model trains and huge real trains on display and in action right there. If you don't have your day planned, I recommend it.
